本单元通过谈论画册,谈论深圳的事情,学习询问过去事物或人物的特征和状态。

【学情分析】

因为已经是第二课时的学习,学生已经初步感知并掌握了was 和were,通过操练进一步帮助学生内化知识,同时基于平时训练激活学生内在学习能动性。

【教学目标】

Knowledge aims:

1. 我能听、说、认读单词:village

2. 我能理解课文大意并熟读课文。

Ability aim:

我能灵活运用一般过去时的一般疑问句结构“Was/Were...?”,并能做出相应的回答。

Emotion aim:

让学生感受保护文物和环境的重要性。

【教学重点】

1、认读单词village.

2、认读和运用句子:

Was it a big city then?

Yes, it was. No, it wasn’t.

【教学难点】

在情境中能够熟练运用was 或were的问句询问过去事物或人物的特征和状态。

Step 1 warm-up

1. Sing a song ”I Was Fat”.

2. Free talk

Talk about the pig.

Then it was fat, slow, a baby, cute

Now it is thin, fast, big, an old pig.

Step 2 Presentation

Listen, point and say

1. Show a picture of a strong man.

He’s strong now. Guess:

He was strong/ thin then.

2. 将这个句子变成一般疑问句Was he strong then?

对比两幅图,引导学生作出回答

Yes, he was.

3. Watch the cartoon of Part 1

4. Act it out in pairs.

Listen and say

Teach the words “city” and “village”.

1.Show a picture of Wuxue now.

Wuxue is a ______ now.

Talk about Wuxue: It’s big and beautiful.

Teach the word “city”.

2.Show a picture of Wuxue then.

Wuxue was a _______ then.

Talk about Wuxue then: It was old and small.

Teach the new word ”village”.

出示武穴过去和现在的图片作对比,引出单词city和village. Talk about Shenzhen.

1.Show a picture of an old man in Shenzhen.

This is my grandpa. Where is he? He’s in Shenzhen.

2.放大深圳的图片。

Shenzhen is a ________ now.

3.出示深圳过去的图片,问:

Was it a city then?

引导学生回答No, it wasn’t.并作出补充回答:It was a village then. 4.比较深圳现在和过去的两张图片

It was a _________ village then.

引导出形容词big和very small.

5.Watch the cartoon.

6.Practise in pairs and act out the conversations in roles.

Step 3 Practice

1.Show four pictures. Talk about them.

Picture 1: Was it fat? No, it wasn’t. It was thin.

Picture 2: Was she tall? No, she wasn’t. She was short.

Picture 3: Was he naughty? Yes, she was.

Picture 4: Were they young? No, they weren’t. They were old. 2.Play a game.

小游戏:出示八种颜色块,每个颜色块对应一幅图画。

挑选一种颜色,两人问答,谈论与之相对应的图画。

Step 4 Consolidation

1.出示武穴著名景点滨江公园的图片。

Binjiang Park was very big and beautiful.

出示滨江公园公物和环境被破坏的照片。

Binjiang Park is old and dirty.

2. 图片对比,让学生感受保护文物和环境的重要性。板书设计:
