Lesson 2 Is This Your Pencil? Teaching aims:

students can learn sentences Whose pencil is this? Is this your/his/her pencil? Yes, it is. No, it isn’t. And students can use these sentences in daily use. Key points and difficult points: the same as teaching aims. Teaching steps: Step 1:Greeting and review words pen, pencil, ruler, and

crayon.

The teacher show students some pens, pencils, rulers and crayons, and ask What’s this? It’s a pen.

……to review these words. Step 2: Listen to part 2 in the text and guess the meaning if the dialog. The teacher will take someone’s pen to ask some students questions to give a model. Step 3: Play a game in groups to practice the dialog. In each group, one student take something to ask Whose … is this? Is this your…? Is this his…? Is this her….? Yes, it is. No, it isn’t. In this way, students can learn and use the sentences fluently. Step 4: Do part 3 in lesson 2, and ask students to show their answers to be checked. Then make more dialogs according to the form in groups; invite volunteer groups to show their dialogs. Step 5: Homework: Read the text for 5 times aloud and make 3 new dialogs and write down in exercise book.
