A Visit to the Great Wall 教材分析：

本节课是冀教版五年级下册第二单元In Beijing的故事课，通过主人公游览长城的情境巩固本单元有关长城的特点：old and long.呈现中国人对长城的习惯称呼、有关长城的谚语以及如何爱护长城、保护周围环境。

学生分析：

班里学生几乎没有去过长城，但通过各种途径获得的有关长城的信息比较多，特别是在人教版语文五年级上册学过《长城》一课，体验比较深刻。

1.在老师的帮助下读懂故事、了解有关长城的简单信息。

2.能朗读故事并在老师的帮助下复述表演故事。

在语境中猜测词义，抓重点词句，理解故事

Step1. Warm up.

Sing a song. Let’s take a picture. Step2.Lead in. Talk about Beijing. Look at the pictures of the Great Wall. Talk about the Great Wall. How long is the Great Wall? How old is the Great Wall? Let’s visit the Great Wall together! Step3. Listen to the story and answer. How is the Great Wall？

Old, long, wonderful, beautiful, great,interesting…

Step4.分图细读，理解故事。

The Great Wall is wonderful! Our friends go there. Look at P1…

1、跟读P1,回答：How do they go to the Great Wall? 2、朗读P2重点短语，体会句子的含义。

What’s the meaning of “The Ten-Thousand-Li Great Wall”?

3、朗读P3，寻找细节信息，运用现实语境理解the oldest. I am the oldest of us. 4、默读P4重点词汇和生活实际猜测句意。

What’s the meaning of “He who does not go to the Great Wall is not a true man.”

5、小组阅读P5，抓住关键信息:keep the Great Wall clean and beautiful. 引导学生试着说一说：keep our clothes /classroom / school / city/ homeland …clean and beautiful. What does Danny want to do? What do you want to say to Danny? How to keep the Great Wall clean and beautiful? 6、阅读P6,抓住What a wonderful place to visit!让学生朗读体会感叹句的情感。并试着找同类型词汇替代wonderful，例如：beautiful, great,interesting…，再次体会长城的特点，总结全文，升华情感。

Step5.精读关键语句，内化故事。

1、朗读故事概要。

Step6.提供语言支架，学生表达输出。

1、根据关键词复述故事。

2、在课件提示下分角色表演故事。

Li Ming: In China, we call it ‘The Ten-Thousand-Li Great Wall. ’

Danny: Wow, it is so long. Jenny: What’s interesting thing?

Li Ming: In China ,people say‘He who does not go to the Great Wall is not a true man.’

Danny: Let me write my name on it. Li Ming:Don’t draw or write on the Great Wall.

Step7.总结提升

1、Please say what we can do or what we can’t do on the Great Wall?
