【教材分析】

本单元的话题是关于一个位于南半球的主要英语国家——澳大利亚，教师可以结合五年级上册Unit6（My e-friend）中国家名称的词汇导入本单元话题。本单元的新语法是一般将来时的肯定句，教师可以利用本册Unit5中的be going to结构导入新语法。为了帮助学生更好地理解和运用一般将来时，教师可以将这一时态与之前学过的一般现在时、现在进行时和一般过去时对比呈现，并设计综合操练活动。

【教学目标】

1.知识目标：

① 能听懂、会说、会读、会写句型和日常用语I’ll ask my e-friend in Australia. ②

掌握词汇: country, will, learn, welcome, visitor, like, find out, magazine, kangaroo, koala, sport-lover, Australia football, exciting, Sydney. ③

能初步掌握story time中的内容，能完成书后的练习。

2.能力目标：

① 能正确理解并朗读课文。

② 能尝试根据所学短语和句型来复述或表演课文。

③培养学生自主学习和如何通过多种方法获取信息的能力。

3.情感目标：

通过本课的学习，帮助学生了解澳大利亚的风土人情，培养学生热爱世界的情感。

【学情分析】

学生已经接触过的一般将来时不能熟练运用。

能正确理解、朗读课文并可以根据提示复述课文内容。

能听懂、会读、会说单词: country, will, learn, welcome, visitor, like, magazine, kangaroo, koala, sport-lover, Australia football. ③

能正确使用句型：I/you/we/they/he/she’ll…. 【教学难点】

能尝试根据所学短语和句型来描述澳大利亚。

一般将来时陈述句的构成和用法。

【课前准备】

常规预习：

① 听磁带跟读 story time 三遍并全文翻译。

②通过询问他人、上网查询或阅读书籍的方法初步了解澳大利亚。

澳大利亚（Australia），全称为澳大利亚联邦（The Commonwealth of Australia），是一个发达的资本主义国家。1788年至1900年，曾是英国的殖民地。1901年，殖民统治结1 澳大利亚（Australia），全称为澳大利亚联邦（The Commonwealth of Australia），是一个发达的资本主义国家。澳大利亚四面环海，是一个移民国家，也是世界上唯一一个国土覆盖整个大陆的国家，拥有很多自己特有的动植物和自然景观，奉行多元文化。

澳大利亚领土面积761.793万平方公里，是南半球经济最发达的国家，全球第12大经济体，全球第四大农产品出口国，也是多种矿产出口量全球第一的国家被称作“坐在矿车上的国家”。澳大利亚也是世界上放养绵羊数量和出口羊毛最多的国家，被称为“骑在羊背的国家”。

澳大利亚是一个体育强国，常年举办全球多项体育盛事。澳大利亚曾两次主办夏季奥运会，并且是每年的一级方程式赛车和澳大利亚网球公开赛的常年主办国。澳大利亚积极参与国际事务，是联合国、20国集团、英联邦、太平洋安全保障条约、经济合作与发展组织及太平洋岛国论坛的成员。

② 区分excited 和 exciting excited表示激动的、兴奋的（形容人）。exciting表示事情令人激动的（形容事）。
