2. A short video “Flying a kite”. Part One

Presentation and Listening

1. Show some pictures of kites in different shapes.

“What does it look like ?”

“Whose kite is it ?”

2. Listen and complete Part A1.

[Task 1 Listen and write]

(Tip: Just pay attention to the shapes.) 3. Introduce the four famous people involved by showing some pictures while teaching some new words.

[Task 2 Listen and match]

4. Match each person with the correct event in Part A2.

[Task 3 Read , listen and complete] 5. Fill in some of the blanks in Part A3.

6. Listen to the whole passage again and fill in the rest blanks.

2. List some aspects as hints for students to make up new dialogues. [Task 6 Make up a new dialogue.] (Work in pairs.) [If time is limited , students can act out their dialogues after class.] 3. Play a game: Ask & Answer Summary Homework: 1.Make up more dialogues to talk about outdoor activities. 2.Retell the history of kites.
