Teaching objectives: 1. Knowledge objectives: (1) To master the important words, phrases and sentences in the text. (2) To have a better understanding of the things in different rooms. 2. Ability objectives: (1) To know the different things in different rooms. (2) To make a call in a correct way. 3. Value objectives：

(1) To develop students’ right attitude to life

(2) To enjoy a happy life. Teaching key points and difficult points: 1. Phrases: be full of, of one’s own, some day, take a message, call sb. back

2. Structures:

(1) May I speak to Daniel, please?

(2) Sorry, he’s not at home.

(3) This is Simon.

(4) Can I take a message?

(5) Can you ask him to call me back? Teaching methods: Task-Based Language Teaching

Teaching Procedures Step1: Lead-in 1.

Show a picture and guess whose house it is. 2.

Remember Neil’s house and fill in the blanks.

Designing aims 由图片导入主题，在唤醒学生对已学知识的记忆的同时，激活学生的思维，营造轻松的学习氛围。有利于开阔学生思路，激发学生的创造性思维。

Step2: Listening 1.

Neil made a video of his house. Let’s listen to him and write the names of the place under each picture and put the pictures in the correct order. 2.

Listen to Neil telling more about his house. Help Simon label the things in Part A1 with the words in the box. 3.

What do you think of Neil’s house?

Do you think it is small?

Is it the same as (与…相同) your house? Which room do you like best in his house? Why? Send a email and help Simon complete his email. 4. Read the email together.

Step3: Group work

1. Play the role of Neil and introduce your beautiful house. 2. Introduce your own house.

通过复习再次帮助学生了解不同地方不同区域的不同事物。通过两段听力的训练，使得重点词组、句型及语言点的教授也在此环节自然完成。 提升学生对于文本的深层次理解，活跃气氛，让学生“活动”起来以保持学生的学习兴趣。

Step4: Speak up

Listen and answer:

1. Is Daniel in? 2. Where is Simon calling from? 3. What’s Simon’s new phone number?

3. Learn more useful expressions. 4. Work in pairs and make a similar phone call.

Step 5: Conclusion Where there is a love, there is a home.

让学生先听，然后读和模仿，学会如何打电话，以及打电话的常用语句和习惯用法。

总结本课时，达成情感目标。

Step6: Homework 1. Review what we’ve learned today.

2. Write something about your own home and try to make a phone call.
