The design ideas

Based on the current high school English curriculum standard and teaching reform, teachers should come up with the advanced curriculum reform idea. Teaching must take the students as the main body and the center of teaching in the classroom. Teachers play leading roles in teaching. Therefore teachers should use the task-based teaching approaches to set small tasks around the central task to carry out autonomy learning group activities, which can make the cooperation and exploration combined with the independent thinking to optimize the students’

study ways and improve students’ learning efficiency. 课

Analysis of the teaching material

My main topic is speaking for writing of Module 2 Book1, My New Teachers. This part takes “How to Describe a Person” as the topic, introducing some adjectives that describing a person’ personality and appearance to the students, they can learn to describe their teachers through this. And they can apply vocabulary, sentence pattern that they have learned to express their thoughts, at the same time, students can learn how to describe a person in their daily life according to the passage that given by the teacher. Analysis of learning The high school students are active in their thinking and dare to offer different opinions. The students have reserved some knowledge of English and can expand the topic and discuss their opinions. Teachers should adopt multimedia teaching and use diverse teaching methods and means to arouse students' interest in communication and learning. By this will the students always think positively and actively to explore and create lively classroom atmosphere.

A. Knowledge objects:

1. Ss can learn some words and expressions to describe a person; 2. Ss can describe a person from the aspects of basic information, appearance, achievements, etc. B. Ability objects: Ss are able to write a passage of a person;

C. Emotional objects：

Enhance students’ team work spirit by collaborative writing;

Get students know how to write a passage about a person from the aspects of basic information, appearance, achievements, etc.

Steps

I. Lead-in

Introduce the learning goal of this class.

Lead in the class by playing a guessing game , who the person is.

首先导入本堂课的教学目标—学会写描写人的文章。



通过描述,让学生猜出他们所熟悉的人物—他们的老师，题材贴近学生活动，更能激起学生学习的兴趣。再通过头脑风暴让学生复习描写人的形容词。

II. Pre- writing

写前输入：

Purposes 

通过阅读一篇描写老师的范文，让学生了解可以从概，貌，成，评这四个方面去描述一个人，尤其是伟人。



从原文中找出描写人的

（概，貌，成，评）这四个方面时常用的相关句型和短语。



通过描述不同的图片，操练写作所需要的词汇，短语和句型，为下面语言的成段输出做准备。



通过讨论描述他们熟悉的明星，引导学生在描写人物前，要对其信息进行分类（概，貌，成，评），然后再运用相关短语和句型进行表达,为下面的成篇的语言输出打基础。

Ss:

Ss are divided into 6 groups, and discuss with their partners to describe their headteacher, each group describe one aspect of him .

Ss cooperate to write a passage of the famous sports star.

Purposes 

通过讨论描述他们熟悉的一个体育明星，引导学生在描写人物前，要对其信息进行分类（概，貌，成，评），然后再运用相关短语和句型进行表达。每一小组，通过讨论、合作共同完成一篇描述班主任的文章，培养学生的小组合作学习精神。

III. While- T：

Introduces the writing task--- write a passage about a IV. Post- Writing

V. Home- work 1. Ss improve the writing according to the check list form.

2. Ask 1-2 groups to present their passage.

3. T presents the sample writing.

Improve your letter after class and write it again on your exercise book.



根据评价表，组内自我修改文章，提高纠错能力。



学生展示修改后的文章。全班共同评价。



老师展示范文。



学生课后再次修改和完善文章，并写在作业本上。这是让学生不断熟悉写作过程，加深对此类作文的印象，提高写作能力。

Teaching reflection：

____In this part ,students can learn some descriptive words and sentence patterns, such as, some adjectives. What’s more, students are able to train their writing skills by learning this class. The advantage of this lesson is the part of lead-in, using a guessing game to lead in this lesson, as we all know, students all like playing games, which will arouse their interest in learning English. In addition, the topic of this lesson is how to describe a person, adopting some famous people who they know well and their teachers as the examples to describe, which will make them learn well.________________________________________________________________
