M7U1 They were very young. Teaching aims: 1、Learn the sentences: They weren’t old then. They were very young.

My hair wasn’t long then. It was very short.

2、Learn to express with the past tense. Compare the things in the present tense and the past tense. Important and difficult points: Learn to use the past tense of be（was wasn’t were weren’t）. Teaching tools：word-cards photos ppt. Teaching steps: 一、Greeting Good morning，boys and girls! I’m Miss zhang. I’m twenty-four years old. Nice to meet you!(向几个学生握手问好，并用相关形容词描述他们的特征。e.g. What’s your name? How old are you ? You’re very tall/beautiful! Your hair is very long/short! Your name is very nice!拉近与学生之间的距离。) 二、Warm up (一) Review 1.Play a game---Do and guess复习巩固学过的形容词

教师做示范动作，学生猜形容词，并说出他的反义词，

之后让学生做动作。

2.Say a sentence课件出示图片，引导学生用形容词进行描述。

Can you say a sentence? e.g.姚明：He is very tall. 麦兜：He is very fat. 加菲猫：The cat is very big/fat. 阿衰：He is very naughty. 三、Learn the text (一)lead-in T: Look at this picture. Who is she? Ss: Lingling. T: Now or then? T: Look at this picture. Who are they? Ss: Lingling’s grandparents.

T: Now or then? 出示玲玲和她爷爷和奶奶过去和现在的照片，并将其贴在相应位置。

T: 你们想知道他们发生了哪些变化吗？

（二）Task1 Listen and find the adjective words T: OK! Look at task 1. 听第一遍录音找出课文中的形容词。

T：都找到了那些形容词？

(将学生找到的形容词板书到黑板相应位置上：old young long short只板书比较有对比性的。) T：You are very clever!(及时评价) T: 到底他们发生了什么变化呢？

（三）Task2 Listen and answer the questions T: Ok！Look at task2 听第二遍录音找出问题答案（学生齐读问题，适当用汉语解释）

Queations：1.Are Lingling’s grandparents young now?

2. Is Lingling’s hair short now?

3.Is she naughty now？
