Step I Warming up and lead-in

i.Make an introduction and greet each other. ii.Look at the picture and answer :

Step II Presentation

i.Show the sports meeting's picture and say. We will have a sports meeting next week.What sports are you good at?

Teach the words “have a sports meeting”. Read “have a sports meeting” in pairs and clap hands in one group.

ii.Look at me.I'm good at throwing.What are

you good at?

Teach “throwing ”

Read “throwing”

Little train,little train,go,go,go.

Say “throwing ,throwing”.

Show the sentence pattern on the blackboard: --What are you good at?

iii.Show the picture and guess it.

Let's have a guessing game. I'm good at 100-meter race.

Teach “100-meter race.”

Read “100-meter race.”

iv.Show the picture and say.

Teach “long jump”.

Let's chant :long jump ,long jump, I'm good at long jump.(Boys and girls chant it in groups.) v. Show the picture and say.

Teach “high jump”.

Let's chant :high jump,high jump, I'm good at high jump. (Boys and girls chant it in groups.) iv.Show the picture and guess it.

Teach “ running race”.
