Step 1.

Warming-up and Lead-in 1.After greeting, I will begin the lesson by watching the video together with the Ss. 2.Asking the Ss what are they favorite food. The question is related to the topic of food and the Ss can grasp it easily by answering the questions.

Step 2. Presentation It will cost about 16 mins.

Fruit. The Ss will guess which kind of food from the information of PPT about three words. (apple, banana, orange) after that, I will let every group read one by one (each group reads one words) 2.

vegetable I will design a game and play with students to make them remember tomato quickly. I will ask the Ss directly, let them know cucumber, and count from one to ten. This procedure can make the Ss reinforce their memory. 3.

Sweet food I will ask them two questions and let them brainstorm, and then tell it’s cake and ice cream(each group reads one word) I will ask the Ss what it is by showing them a picture, and lead them to say chocolate. 4.

Main food Play a guessing game to make the Ss are interested in this word and speak rice in a group quickly. Playing a game. I will hide the bread to let one student find with the help of other students. 5.

Meat

I will ask the Ss what it is directly, and lead students to answer this is fish and this is chicken. Then, I let each group speak out loudly one by one.

Step 3. Practice and Development

1.Group work

The whole class will be divided into 6 groups, every group includes 8 students; In each group, I will give them a whole picture of the foods in this unit. They should put each food

into different part. After that,

I will ask four group leaders to show their work on the blackboard and speak out them in English.

I will help students to distinguish which food is good for our health, which food is bad for our health. This procedure can help students form a healthy eating habits. 2.Pair work.

I show the Ss a dialogue. (what do you want? I want a banana) and lead them to read. After that, I will let students practice this dialogue in pairs. Three minutes later, I will ask several students to have a show in the class. Step 4. Consolidations

listen to the tape In this step, I will prepare a tape to let students listen and match. From this step, I can check their listening ability. 2.Sing a song.

This step makes students relax and enjoy the class.
