Step 1 Revision and lead in My favorite month is…. What’s your favorite month?

（设计意图：1.由学生很感兴趣的歌曲导入，活跃课堂气氛，调动学习积极性。

2.通过谈论自己喜爱的月份，从而引导出favorite 和句型What is your favorite…?同时促进预习的开展，为新课导入做准备。）

Repeat with food, etc. Step 2 Presentation 1.用多媒体或投影呈现1a中的图：教科目单词：English, Chinese, math, science, geography, art, history

music, P.E What other subjects do we have? History/English/Biology, etc. 把有关的学科单词列举在黑板或屏幕上，让学生读。

（设计意图：利用ppt课件展示各门学科名词：What subject is it? It’s English….学生一边仔细观，一边听老师的介绍，同时回答老师的问题，很快掌握了这一时段的语言目标: 学科名词

2.通过Memory Challenge熟记词汇后，然后引出句型：What’s your favorite subject? （设计意图：此游戏目的是激发学生的学习兴趣，提高记忆力，集中他们的上课精力，充分发挥学生的自主性）

（设计意图：熟悉目标语言What is your favorite…? 和科目名称，活跃课堂气氛，调动学习积极性）

Task2、图词配对

Ask students to match each word with one of the pictures in 1a. （设计意图：将学科名词与活动场景相匹配，温故知新。引导学生掌握表示学科名词，熟练口语交际任务。） Task3、听选

Listen and circle the subjects you hear. （设计意图：引导学生认真听录音，并根据所听到的内容，圈出所听到的学科单词。这样既培养了学生的听力能力，有对本节课所学的关于学科单词起到了巩固掌握的作用。）

(设计意图：即培养了学生听力能力，同时又掌握了目标语言，询问最喜欢的科目及原因。)

（设计意图：通过连贯的听说读写训练，激发学生的学习热情，发挥他们自己的主观能动性，把被动的学习变为主动学习。抓住用英语交际的机会，充分感知，积极体验，大胆实践。让他们的求知欲望和表现欲望得意满足，为进一步学习英语打下基础。）
