一、教材分析

本课是冀教版五年级英语下册第2单元的第10课The Great Wall。本单元的题目是“In Beijing”，讲授了“在北京”的话题。在本单元，学生已经了解到Li Ming, Jenny和Danny到达北京，开始了他们的北京之旅，并且参观了北京的景点天安门广场、故宫。本课“The Great Wall”是本单元内容的其中一篇，讲述了Li Ming, Jenny和Danny参观长城发生的事情。本课篇幅不长，图本并茂，但其中包含着丰富的语言信息。学生在学习的过程中，运用英语语言读懂文本，提高阅读技能，更重要的是学生在学习如何描述长城的过程中，体会到语言学习的乐趣，增强自信心和成就感。

二、学情分析

五年级的学生已经有了一定的英语知识基础，具备了一定的逻辑思维能力以及简单的口语表达能力和阅读能力。所以本节课应充分调动学生的积极性，发挥学生的潜能，提高运用语言的能力。

三、教学目标

能力目标：Able to understand and master the text, and skillful use of sentence patterns. 3.

情感目标：Improve the interest in learning English, enhance the patriotic awareness of children. 四、教学重点：Good command of words and phrases. 五、教学难点：Be able to read and understand and use sentence patterns. 六、教学准备：courseware, pictures.

七、教学过程：
