1．教材分析

高中英语选修八第二单元的中心话题是“克隆”。课文始终围绕这一主题展开，语言知识和语言技能部分主要是围绕这一中心进行设计的。本单元分为六个课时。本节课是本单元的第四课时，标题是“THE RETURN OF THE DINOSAURES?”。

讲的是随着科技的发展，克隆的水平越来越高，但克隆恐龙会成为可能吗？通过本节课的学习，

学生一方面提高了综合运用语言的能力，有培养了学生科学探究的精神。

学情分析

高二学生经过一年多的高中学习，已具备了一定的语言基础，也掌握了一定的阅读策略和技巧，也具备了一定的写作能力。同时对克隆技术有很强的好奇心，因此对克隆恐龙这个话题比较感兴趣。

1）知识目标

掌握本课文中出现的重点词汇，

短语和句型。

2）能力目标

进一步提高学生阅读技巧，培养综合运用语言的能力。

3）德育目标

通过本节课的学习，帮助学习形成科学地学习态度和健康的人生观。
