2. Understand the text and know how the Internet developed.

Difficult points: The structure of the passage: the development of the Internet and World Wide Web. Teaching procedures: Stage 1: Lead-in ①Two pictures about “net”, lead to the theme”Internet”

②Brain storm about the usage of Internet in our daily life. ③From the past to the future, things develop with the Internet. Stage 2: Fast-reading Step 1: Read and find the main idea of the passage. Reading strategy of finding the main idea, complete task 1. Step 2: Find out the time mentioned in the passage, underline them. Stage 3: Careful reading Step 1: The development of the Internet and World Wide Web ①Read the text carefully and find out what happened in each year, and complete task 2. ②Discussion: Check the answers with your partners, and discuss the questions you can’t finish. ③Check the answers together.

Step2: T/F questions Finish task 3 and check the answers one by one.

Stage 4: Post- reading: Group work. Discussion:What will life be like with “Internet+” 20 years later? Then share your ideas with us. Stage 5: Homework Write down more sentences about “Internet +”, use the structure “in the past...now...in the future”
