Introduction

Introduce the present simple tense by doing a game with students. The game is aimed to

arouse their interest in the tense . With the interest, they are anxious to study further.

I’ll describe one of your classmates in our class. Please guess who it is.

She is a girl.

She is neither thick nor thin.

She is about 1.63 meters tall.

She always wears a smile and short hair.

She doesn't like speaking loud but she is brave and easygoing.

She isn’t dependent. She can deal with everything by herself.

She gives out our exercise books and collects our homework .

Step 2 Review the tense

I. Now it’s time for us to draw a conclusion and find out the usage of the tense.

Ask the students to do the same game with their partner or group members. The partner has a classmate in mind and you ask him/her more questions until you have guessed the classmates.

You can begin with the sentences just like these:

Step 4 Further Study Based on the above, the teacher should guide students to put it into practice.
