Taiyuan is one of the great industrial cities of China and lies in the central part of Shanxi province. 

The city had a population of more than 3 million. 

Nicknames: Bingzhou ，Jinyang，

Dragon city. 

There are six districts in Taiyuan: Yingze，

Xiaodian，

Xinghualing，

Jinyuan，

Jiancaoping，

Wanbolin. 

Taiyuan has existed for 2，500 years and a large number of cultural relics and ancient buildings in and around it. 【设计说明】本部分目的是能力提升，循序渐进，拓展学生思维，使学生能活学活用所学知识，在活动中培养学生的合作交流能力和语言运用能力。

Step 5 Assignment 假设你是导游，有一大批外国人来我市——太原参观，请根据以下内容，向外宾简单介绍我市的情况。

要点包括：

a. 有悠久的历史，位于山西中部，人口约

300 万。

b. 有许多名胜古迹，如晋祠(Jinci);双塔寺（The Twin Pagoda Temple）蒙山( Mengshan Mountain )等等；有许多新“景点”，如你也可以去参观山西省和太原市的博物馆，展览馆，美术馆，山西大剧院，在那里你可以发现新的太原；有美食，如醋，各式面食，头脑。

c. 祝大家在太原玩得愉快。

教学反思

优点：

首先，通过运用游戏并利用计算机教学辅助手段来激发学生学习热情，强烈的求知欲，同时能更快更直观地掌握内容。其次，利用各种阅读策略把握文章具体信息，深层次了解厦门，阅读后采取由浅入深的练习及时巩固检查。第三，课件和讲义相辅相成，互为补充，提高了

教学效果。最后，能力提升部分通过让学生描述太原，将阅读与写作结合，使学生把所学知识和生活实际结合，活学活用，真正变为自己的东西。

需要调整和改进之处：

学生对词汇较陌生，导致阅读速度较慢，找出相关信息的速度比预计的要慢。能力提升部分，将所学知识举一反三，更加明确地提出要求，补充内容，指导学生完成，才能使教学成果更有针对性。
