本单元以 changing 为主要话题,主要是通过一位老奶奶简述她过去和现在

的生活发生了巨大的变化, 一般过去时和一般现在时态交织, 运用的主要句型是 there be.旨在让学生能运用所学句型谈论现在和过去的变化,激发学生中国真

了不起的情感。

【教学目标】

(一)知识目标: 1.New words: life ,different, ago, any, television, grandchildren, us, grandmother, lady 2.New sentences :There were/weren’t„. We lived„many years ago. There are„.We live„now.

(二)能力目标: 1. 能根据情境正确使用 There be„„,We lived„many years ago. We live„now.句型谈论生活、学习中的事物

2. 培养学生听、说、读、写的能力。

(三)情感目标:使学生体验学习,参与,合作,竞争的乐趣。

比较过去和现在的生活, 体会我们现在生活的幸福, 激发学生爱国, 爱亲人

的情怀,并培养学生热爱生活,积极向上的思想

【教学重点】新单词和新句型的教学与运用。

【教学难点】

如何让学生在课堂上学会“There be„,We lived„many

years ago. We live„now .”句型,并能在生活中灵活运用该句型。

【教学准备】

教师准备:录音机、教学挂图、单词卡、两幅对比强烈的图画

学生准备:搜集老照片。

【教学过程】

Step1. Warming up 1. 播放歌曲《 if you are happy clap your hands》

2. 教师与学生自由会话,教师可以问学生:“-Did you have a good time in your holidays?-Were there any happy things in your holidays?-What did you do in your holidays?-Where did you go?-How did you go?”等通

过这样的师生交流, 教师可以帮助学生回顾相关的语言知识, 例如:一般过去时

的用法、常用词汇等,为后面的教学做铺垫。

Step2. Presentation 1、

热身活动以后, 教师告诉学生:In the winter holiday you are older ,you had a lot of changes.”教师边说边把新单词“change”板书到黑板上,出示

课题“changing”(To explain change—

changing) 。

“Everything is changing. No change, no progress.”

2、出示旧社会人们的生活照片: 3、出示新中国人们现在的日常生活照片: 告诉学生:“ Look. Life was very different many years ago .But how was it different?今天我们就要学习比较过去和现在生活的不

同,之后也请大家谈

Step3.Text learning 1. 教师出示多媒体课件:展示课本活动二的图片, 让学生自己谈一谈图中的

内容, 要鼓励学生用英语讲, 用以前学过的句型:“There is/are. . . . . . ”, 然后,老师总结学生的描述。

学习新单词 : life, 类似但此有 like light, 注意 [f]的发音。 ago, 在短语中学

习 many years ago, many days ago, three weeks ago television, TV的缩写, Do you like watching TV? If you like, please remember television. grandmother: grandma

grandchildren: grandmother’s son’s son or daughter. 其余的单词 different, any, us, lady通过单词卡片,采用集体读,个别读, 男读,女读等多种方式学习。

过的句型:来描述过去和现在不同的景象。学生分组合作交流。

如:There was a small house. There is a big house. Step5.consolidation 1、 Play a game.

“画艺展示”

游戏, 发给每位学生一张大白纸, 请他们根据自己的记忆画出

自己家过去和现在的草图,要突出房子的大小、漂亮程度以及家中设备的变化。

教师可以提供一些有可能用到的生词,例如:电冰箱 fridge, 空调 air conditioner 等,以使学生更加自如的交流。分小组活动,用今天学过的 There was/were和 There is/are进行描述。准备好的小组上台展示,表现好的小组得

标志。

2、新旧中国的生活给了你什么启示呢?对学生进行爱祖国,爱亲人,为祖

国的繁荣富强而努力学习的情感教育。

Step 6. Summary 1. 学生小结本节课所学。

2. 点评学生和小组课堂表现。

Step 7.Homework 做小小调查员: 采访爷爷奶奶、

外公外婆, 看他们的生活以前与现在有什么不一样, 把采访

的结果画一画,写一写,下节课和同学交流。
