人教2007版普通高中课程标准实验教科书选修八第三单元

Learning about language 课型：词汇复习，语法复习课

一．教学目标

1．语言知识目标：

1)了解构词法，掌握一些后缀：

identify—identification caution—cautious expect—expectation

produce—production

strong--strengthen 2．语言技能目标：

1)强化英英释义，让学生习惯用英语解释英语。

2)通过短文填空，用上本单元所学单词，词组，句型来强化记忆单词词组句子。

3．情感态度目标：

1）通过短文中申请专利的严谨态度和英英释义中的passive，强调学习的态度：要积极面对，而不是消极怠工。

2）在小组合作互动中，增强学生的团队合作精神与分享意识。

3）培养学生自主学习的能力。

二．教学重点难点

1．教学重点：单词的构词法，单词，词组的用法。过去分词的用法。

2．教学难点：

如何正确理解passive，

valid 单词。

三．教学方式

1．本课采用

单词，句子，短文层层深入的教学模式。

2．培养学生与老师、同学交流信息，交换看法，小组合作学习和自主探究学习。

3．采用多媒体课件作为主要的教学手段。多媒体课件可以将文字、图象、声音三者结合起来，更加活泼生动，易于为学生所接受，也能够更好地服务于教学。同时，借助黑板、粉笔等辅助手段开展教学活动。

四．教学过程

Step I.告知学生本课目标。

Make the students understand what we will review by looking at the screen. 1.

Revise the past participle as the attribute, predicative or object complement

Step II. 构词法：向学生介绍一些后缀。

[设计说明]通过把后缀一样的单词放在一起，让学生更容易记忆单词。

Step III. Sentences: Replace the underlined words with words or phrases in the

When I first applied for a patent I was very puzzled by the _______. I had produced a new type of lily. I was amazed when my application was ______ refused. [设计说明] 在这个环节，要求学生熟练掌握这些词组的用法。

Step V. Grammar 用一个故事引出语法部分，复习过去分词作定语，表语，宾补的用法。

A boy called Tom went to the cinema one night. It was a horror film, which made him frightened, but he was interested in it. Sometimes he even felt 1.

But there only seemed to be powders designed to kill snakes. 2.

When I woke up, I found my money stolen. [设计说明] 因为是复习过去分词，所以没有过多讲解。想通过练习让学生巩固过去分词的用法

Step VI. Exercises：

I would like to live in a well-designed house surrounded by trees and which has a garden filled with flowers. Painted in colors of palest yellows and greens, the walls of these decorated rooms would seem larger than they really are. In the room, there is a specially made armchair, placed in the most comfortable position. In this seat, I would watch some plays performed in the TV set. I am really excited about the well-planned house.

[设计说明] 在这个环节，用游戏的形式让学生做一些关于过去分词的练习，以增强趣味性。

Step VII. Homework.

Write a short passage about where you would like to live. and try to use the past participle as much as possible . [设计说明] 让学生从辨认过去分词到使用过去分词讨论，从而达到巩固本单元所学的目的。

Step VIII. 教学反思：

这节课是到我们学校的录课室上的，学生有些紧张和放不开。有点害怕出错，所以表现有些不积极。我也有些紧张，害怕出错。所以这节课上得有些古板。
