语言功能:谈论过去发生的事情,主要是使用
was were 来描述过去发生的事情。
语言结构:They weren’t old then.

It was very short. 教学目标:
a.语言知识目标:学习听说读写单词young, old, who; 学习听说读单词grandparent, then;学习目标语句They weren’t old then.

b.语言技能目标:能听、说、读、写本课所涉及的介绍过去式的相关词汇, 能够使用was, were来进行简单的造句。
c.情感态度目标:能积极参与调查活动并敢于开口交流,培养学生学习英语的兴趣及合作意识. 教学重难点:
重点:能在实际情况中正确区分并运用was, were,而且能够进行简单的造句。
难点:正确运用一般过去时能根据语境写句子;尤其是过去式的否定形式:wasn’t和
weren’t.

学生:students’ book, activity book, 自己家人的全家福照片
【教学过程】
一、
Warm up
1.
Greeting each other. T: Good morning, everyone. S: Good morning, teacher. 2.
Sing a song T: At first, let’s sing a song.
S: OK。
3.
T: These pigs are very cute. So can you describe these pictures? T: Do you know the story of three monks? Ok, can you describe them?
S: He is fat and short. He is tall and thin.
T: How about this picture?
S: She is old. He is young. Her hair is short. Her hair is long.

T: Let’s look at the last picture. Who can read this question for us?
S: Who are they? T: Read after me, “who”. (讲解单词who). Who are they in the picture? S: They are Lingling’s grandparents. T: She is Lingling’s grandma. He is Lingling’s grandpa. When they are together they are grandparents. (讲解grandparents). Look at this picture, were they old then? No, they weren’t old then. They were very young. Today, we’ll learn Module 7 Unit 1.
They were very young. 二、Presentation 1. T: At first, we will listen to the tape, open your book, turn to page 26 and find the sentences with “was were”.
Talk about sentences with “was were” with your partner in your group. 2. T: At first let us talk about Lingling’s grandparents. Were they old then?
S: They weren’t old then. They were very young.
T: How about now?
S: They are old. (讲解单词
old young, 同时点出were weren’t 的意思,并且让学生知道看见then的时候,用过去时。)
T: How about Lingling’s hair? Was it long?
S: My hair wasn’t long then. It was very short.
T: How about now?
S: Now it is long. It’s beautiful. (讲解单词beautiful) (点出was wasn’t 的意思)
T: How old was Lingling?
S: I was two.
I was naughty.
You were very cute. T: Can you guess how about Lingling now? S: Maybe she is nine years old. She is nice. She is beautiful. She is tall.
4. 总结本课文中出现所有的过去式,提炼语法,并总结成歌谣形式,便于记忆。

S: His hair was long then. Now his hair is long. 2. T: Look at these photos, can you describe her? Talk about it in your group.
S: She was thin then.
T: She was thin then. That is to say?
S: She wasn’t fat then. She is fat now. 3. T: Look at these photos, can you describe this couple?
S: They were young then. (They weren’t old then. ) They are old now.
