教学内容：

本课教学内容是《义务教学教科书英语PEP（三年级起点）（2011版）》五年级上册Unit4 What can you do ? Part C Story time部分，教学故事Rat and snake。本部分呈现的是田鼠如何机智的摆脱被蛇吃掉的厄运。在故事中复习巩固本单元核心词汇与句型：What can you do ? I can … Can you … ? Yes, I can ./ No, I can’t. 以及多个动词及词组。教师帮助学生通过图片和上下文理解句子意思，如： Don’t throw me into the lake, please! Silly snake! 这一故事教学的目的是让学生在欣赏故事中进一步复习和巩固本单元的知识，并得以有效拓展。

学情分析：

五年级学生学龄在十到十一岁左右，生性活泼好动，喜欢直观形象思维，对游戏、竞赛特别感兴趣。五年级英语在小学英语教学中起着承上启下的作用，既是四年级的衍生又是六年级的铺垫，我们的学生虽然已有两年的英语学习经验，已具有初步的听说能力，但还有以下一些问题需要解决：

有部分学生可能学习习惯不好，对学习任务的理解仅限于书面作业，不会自学；有些学生害羞，怕犯错误，课堂上不能主动参与活动或干脆只当听众或观众；学习的心态调整不到位，缺乏合理有效的学习方法，学习效率不高。由于故事教学增加了难度，学生的学习方法没能及时跟上，心理压力较大，自信心明显不足而且部分学生学习动力不足的迹象已经显现。

教学目标：

（2）如果遇到危险情况应该如何动脑筋自救。

教学重点：

使学生在相对真实、完整的语境中接触、体验、理解语言。

教学难点：

能够在图片和情景的帮助下，引导学生去讲故事；

引导学生观察故事中主人翁和所处的环境

。

教学准备：

多媒体课件，PPT, flash动画。

教学过程：

T: Yes, it’s a snake. What does a snake eat? 2. Show a picture of a rat T: What can a rat do ? A rat can …

3. Read the story fast, answer the two questions in 1 minute. Try to guess the meaning of the new words. Q1: Does the snake want to eat the rat? Q2: Can the snake eat the rat? 4.Check answers together. Step 3 Careful reading 1.Read the story carefully and answer the questions. You can talk about the meaning of the new words in groups. 3minutes. Q1. Who are in the story? Q2. What is the tasty food?

Q3. Can the rat sing? Q4. Can the rat dance? Q5. Can the rat swim? Q6. Who is clever, the snake or the rat? 2.Check answers and deal with the new words. One ask and one answer. The other Ss will judge their answers. step 4 Post-reading 1. Watch the cartoon, read like the snake and the rat. 2. Role play in groups. 3. Choose someone to play with the teacher. (show some pictures and cover some key words to help.) 4. Perform in front of the class. Step 5. Consolidation 1.Can you give a title of this story? 2.Perform it in the party. Step 6.
