一、Teaching aims: 1.

weigh? 学生能在故事情境中说明人物的身高或体重。

结合插图和人物对话读懂叙述文本的内容，了解Ken等人量身高体重时发生的趣事；

三、Teaching materials:

the flash 四、Teaching procedures: Step1: warming-up T Talks about the days and reviews the numbers with students. 复习数字，认识测量身高和体重的仪器。

Step2: Lead in 1.

Show the pictures of height scale and weight scale. T:what’s this?

Ss may answer with Chinese.

T leads them to say ’height/weight scale’. T:what can we do with a height/weight scale?

Step3: presentation 1.

T show the first picture in page 50.呈现图一，采用问答方式，引导学生说一说Mocky等人在哪里等问题。

What information can you get from the picture? Who are they? Where were they? T guide the ss to say the word:“shopping mall”,show the picture of a shopping mall. 2.

呈现教材图2~4，生猜测Ken Ann 以及Mocky的身高。

播放音频，生听，并在草稿纸上写下三人的身高。

T：How tall is Ken?

How tall is Ann?

S1: Ken is 147 centimeters tall. S2: Ann is 135 centimeters tall. 3.

师引导生总结，Who is the tallest? Who is the shortest?

呈现图5~7.

师引导生猜测Ken Ann以及Mocky 三人的体重。

播放听力，听一听三人的体重，师将相关体重信息板书在黑板上。

呈现“Ann is heavier than Ken”,引导生思考Why Ann is shorter but heavier than Ken？

Step4：Let’s watch and repeat. 师播放动画，生跟读。

Step5: Let’s fill in the blanks 师将文章分为两部分：part 1：checking height

part 2：checking weight. 生分成四人小组，选择一个部分来讨论完成。
