一、教学内容：

1、能听懂、会说、会读单词：get，Hong Kong，next week，tang yuan，food，firecrackers，fireworks，lion dance，red packet，Chinese New Year’s Eve，Chinese New Year’s Day。

2、能听懂、会说、会读、会写句子：What are you going to do? I’m going to …

（二）能力目标：

1、能初步理解并朗读课文

2、能复述Anna一家是如何过中国新年的。

（三）情感目标: 1、能了解香港的过年风俗习惯和差异。

2、能通过学习，抒发爱国情怀，热爱传统文化，加深对我国传统文化的理解。

三、教学重难点：

四、学情分析

作为六年级的学生对英语阅读课并不陌生,也掌握一定的词、句、段、章的知识积累和阅读能力。教师应侧重于具有针对性的阅读方法的指导、阅读能力的培养、语用意识的提高。

Step1 Free talk and lead-in 1.

Greeting. T: Good morning, Class!

Enjoy some pictures and lead in. T: First , let’s look at some pictures. What holiday is coming? Today, we are going to talk about Chinese New Year. (出示课题) T: What are these? S: Red packets. ( teach the new phrase) 2

T: What’s in the red packets?

S: Money.

T: Yes. They can bring good luck!

Do you want them? S: If you answer my questions, I’m going to give you red packets.

get together. Right ? But do you usually buy flowers ? Ss: No. PPT: On Chinese New Year’s Eve, people in Hong Kong always go to flower markets after dinner. They think different flowers bring different good luck(好运).

S: (give red packets/ watch a lion dance) T: Yes, that means” Anna will get packets from her parents.”

T: Can you watch a lion dance in Yangzhou? But watching a lion dance is very popular in Hong Kong. Let’s watch it.

T: To keep the air clean, people in Hong Kong can’t light fireworks anywhere, they can watch the firework show on the second day of Chinese New Year. 【设计意图】介绍香港大年初二在维多利亚港观看烟花表演的习俗。
