一、教学内容

《义务教育教科书·英语》（译林版）六年级上册Unit4 Then and now Story time

二、教学目标

1.语言交流目标

a. 整体理解Story time内容，并能听懂、会说、会读故事中出现的词汇：e-book, mobile phone, newspaper, telephone, paper, TV b. 基于故事能听懂、会说、会读句型：...years ago, he/she....Now he/she...并理解句型的意思。

2.社会文化目标

a. 学生能正确地理解并朗读对话内容，在教师的引导和帮助下尝试复述课文内容。

b.学生能够正确地使用一般过去时和一般现在时表达过去和现在的事情及话题，促进学生实际生活中用英语做事情的能力。

3.思维认知目标

a.通过过去和现在的对比，让学生形成一般现在时和一般过去时的概念，学生对不同时间发生的事情使用不同的时态表达有一定的思维判断力，从而做出正确的时态选择，用正确的表达方式输出语言。

三、教学重难点

1.教学重点

a. 能正确地理解并朗读对话内容，在教师的引导和帮助下尝试复述课文内容。

b. 能正确地使用一般过去时和一般现在时表达过去和现在的事情。

c. 能在理解课文的基础上，完成相关练习。

a. 能正确地使用一般过去时和一般现在时表达过去和现在的事情。

四、学情分析

本单元的话题是“过去和现在”，通过对比Mike一家人过去与现在的学习、工作和生活等方面，让学生感受科技如何改变生活。本单元是在前三个单元的基础上，对一般过去时做进一步呈现，而一般现在时的句型在五年级上学期已经学过。把两种时态放在一起对比呈现，并且学生能够正确地使用一般过去时和一般现在时表达过去和现在的事情，是教学的难点。

Step1 Free talk 1. Let’s judge.

Look ! It was an old bike. It was in the past. It is a fashion bike. It is in the modern world. 1

If you see the old things. Please say “then”. If you see the modern things. Please say “now”.

2. Well done! Today let’s learn Unit4 Then and now

（设计意图：教师引入一辆旧的自行车，告诉学生这是an old bike，它是在过去的事物，再引入一辆新的自行车，告诉学生这是a fashion bike，它是现在的事物。接着，教师通过一组组新老事物照片的对比，让学生判断并说出事物属于Then还是Now，增进学生思维判断力，由此让学生对学习的主题有所了解，并明白本节课所学知识和时间有关系，为时态的教学渗透铺垫。）

Step2 Presentation 1.There are a lot of changes in our life, I think. New things to change the old things. There are a lot of changes in Mike’s family too.

Look! Here are some pictures in Mike’s family.

These pictures were many years ago. These pictures are at the present. How many years ago were they? Let’s watch the story and complete. How many years ago was Mike/Mr Brown/Mrs Brown/Grandpa? Mike was six yeas ago.

Mr Brown was twenty years ago.

Mrs Brown was twenty years ago.

Grandpa was thirty years ago.

I think, there are many changes in their life. Let’s learn the story.

（设计意图：生活中有很多的变化，在Mike的家庭中也有很多变化，教师呈现Mike家人过去的老照片，让学生通过观看视频动画，学生回答Mike的家人分别是在多少年以前，从而让学生进一步感知本课时的学习主题是具有时间的变化和时态的变化。）

We use the simple past tense to talk about the things in the past. We use the simple present tense to talk about the things are true now and the things that we often do. Let’s read and pay attention. （设计意图：在教学中一方面继续让学生了解Mike家人的变化，即Mike父亲的变化，从而正确使用一般过去时和一般现在时。另一方面，教学中也要注意词句在文本中的推进。对一些新词汇进行语音、语意的教学，如对词汇在PPT上标注音标，有利于学生对语音开展自我正音；对词汇的理解教师可以利用自己的办公室、电话机和手机教学词汇，并欢迎学生使用自己的手机；对词汇进行拓展教学，如从anywhere拓展到anytime，anything，anybody等。）

I can teach English well. （设计意图：本课时Story time的教学中只出现了Mike, Mr Brown, Mrs Brown, Grandpa其他的家庭成员并没有介绍，教师首先引出Grandma让学生眼前一亮，然后让同学一起讨论奶奶的then and now，学生发挥想象，运用一般过去时和一般现在时进行讨论交流，教师其次呈现Helen和Tim然学生自由表达，拓展了学生的思维，最终达到语言的综合运用。最后教师呈现自己，让学生知道不仅Mike一家发生了变化，每个人的过去和现在都在发生变化，学生通过向教师发出提问，了解教师。这一环节正好为Fun time的教学作了铺垫和衔接。）
