Step 1 Free talk T: Do you like ghost stories? Why? / Why not? What do you think of “The ghost in the park”

in our book? Please work in pairs. 【设计意图：通过两人对话谈论鬼故事并引出Reading中的内容。】

Step 2 Presentation 1.Text revision

T: Here are three pictures. Which one would you like to choose? Picture1: Where Questions Where do Millie and Amy often go on Sunday mornings? Where did they take the cat in the end? Picture2: How Questions How did Millie and Amy feel when they heard the “ghost”? How did Andy feel when Millie and Amy told him about the ghost in the park? 区分surprised/surprising的用法

Step4 Production 1. T: Anyway the story “ghost in the park”

is very interesting. I think you also know a lot of interesting stories. Today, let’s make interesting stories according to the pictures. (1) Look at the pictures. What can you see in the first picture? What is the wolf doing? Can you tell me the difference between the two trees in Pictue1 and Picture3? What will happen next? Have a guess. (2) Where is Little Red Riding Hood going? What is the wolf thinking? What is the wolf doing? What will happen next? 2. Work in groups of four. Choose the pictures on the right or on the left. Make up an interesting story. One of the members writes down your stories. Pay attention to the tense and spelling. Try to make your story interesting, funny, surprising. Finally you will show your stories with all your group members.

3. Try to use these words and phrases in your stories. 【设计意图：通过解读两组图片帮助学生根据图片编写故事，要求学生小组合作，把故事落实到文字上，注意拼写和时态，要求故事有趣生动，并要求全组轮流讲出故事，起到全员参与的作用。鼓励学生尽可能运用本课所学语言点，真正学以致用】
