【教材及学情分析】

本单元的Wonderland版块，学生要掌握的核心词汇是：spend, wait, most, piece, terrible, at last, weather forecast, bright。在这些词汇中，只有wait和terrible是目前上海中小学英语课程标准要求掌握的核心词汇。terrible曾在4B Unit5的wonderland板块中正式学习过，在本单元中作为复习处理；wait首次出现，是本单元词汇学习的重点。其余都不是课程标准要求掌握的核心词汇，要求会识读，不要求会运用。此外，词汇at last, weather forecast, bright虽然不是课程标准要求掌握的核心词汇，但对于学生来说并不陌生，在关于动词过去式的单元中接触过last，在刚刚学过的Unit4中也有关于weather forecast和bright的讨论，这些学习经验都为学生学习本单元奠定了一定的认知基础。

Farmland板块中，学生要掌握的核心句型是由What will…be(do)?引导的有关一般将来时态的特殊疑问句，回答句型为… will be (do)… 关于一般将来时的特殊疑问句的问答，在以往的学习过程中，学生一直在运用，并不会感到陌生，但需要提醒学生对will后的动词使用原型多加注意，需要在教学设计中进行不断复现和语境创设，帮助学生学会灵活运用。

根据本单元的教学内容，基于单元整体教学设计的理念，我们以“Will it be fine for outing?”为主题，三个课时话题分别为Waiting for the weekend（输出为复述别人的故事），Waiting for another weekend（输出为结合自己的经验续编别人的故事），Let’s go to the Shanghai Green Land（输出为写写自己的计划）。

考虑到Unit4和Unit6的学习内容都与“天气”有关，基于学生的学习经验，教学进度的安排上进行了微调，先跳过与天气无关的Unit5，将Unit4和Unit6连成一个以“天气”为主题的整体，同时在文本再构中加入Unit4中刚接触过的词汇（如shine again, turn rainy, all day long）。

另外，五年级上学期Unit9的课文题目是The Weather Report，单元整体设计1

中的第二课时讨论了可以了解天气预报的几种方式（包括看电视、听广播、打电话、上网、读报），第三课时讨论了天气对人类活动计划的影响比如雨天无法野餐等）。为体现比“单元设计”更宽泛的教学整体性，基于较薄弱学生的学习经验，在本单元的教学导入部分，通过回顾Why to know the weather report和How to know the weather report，复习上学期所学，引出新知，从而对关于“天气”的所学内容进行不断的复习和运用。

1、正确识读词汇spend, wait, most, piece, terrible, at last, weather forecast, bright，理解其含义并能准确地运用wait和terrible于一定的情境中。
