1.warming-up and lead in Ss : Good morning , teacher. T: Good morning , class T: Let's watch a video about how do Indians ride a motorcycle and think how do Indians use the motorcycle in the best way. S:Watch and think.

T: After watching the video, the teacher says:" How are you feeling about the Indians

riding a motorcycle, can you ride a motorcycyle, can you ride a bike, can you drive a car,

What else; How do you get to school everyday? ---Lead in the title of the lesson.

2.prsentation 1. T: Show the pictures of the transportation and let the students review the words of the transportation.

(the teacher uses PPT to show the pictures of the transportation.)

First, the teacher says the Chinese meaning of the transportation and let the students say the English meaning of the trainsporation.

Second, the teacher asks the questions and the students answer the questions using the following target language:

T: What's this in English?

S: It's a/an + noun (transportation)

2. the teacher shows some phrases of transportation (let students learn about some

phrases superficially and prepare to summarize how to express the transportation, using PPT)

3. the teacher says:" connecting our everyday life, you may ride a bike / an e-bike or walk to school and how to express." (the teacher uses PPT to show students ride a bike / an e-bike or walk to school )

T: Look at the picture on your book. Match the words with the picture.

4. 1b Listening

1. Make sure the Ss know what to do. Give them an example orally if possible.

2. Read the names in the box.

3. Play the tape and check the answers.

5. 1c Pair work

Ask two students to read the dialogue in the speech bubbles to the class. Then ask students to work in pairs. Ask and answer how students get to school in the picture. Finally ask some pairs of students to present their conversations to the class.

6.2a Listening

Play the tape for the students to finish 2a. Then play again and check the answers

7. Review how long and how far structures.(Using PPT)

8. 2b, 2c Listening

1. Tell Ss the following recording is about how Tom and Jane go to school.

2. First, listen to the recording fill in the first column.

3. Then, play the recording for the Ss again. Ss listen and complete the rest of the chart.

4. Check the answers.

9. 2d Roleplay.

10. Homework

1. Remember the new words and expressions in this period.

2. Interview your parents how to get to work, and give a report.

11. Play a song of Panama while students do their homework.
