Teaching steps for Starter Unit 2 3a-3e: Teaching targets: 

知识目标：1. 通过本堂课的学习, 学生会听说下列单词：map cup ruler pen orange jacket key quilt，并尽量记住它们的拼写形式。



2.学生会说并能熟练运用下列句型：



A: What’s this/that in English? B: It’s a/an…



A: Spell it, please. B: M-A-P Map.



能力目标：1. 能听懂辨认物品、拼写单词的对话，并能熟练运用此对话。



2. 能尽可能多的记住堂课出现的表示物品的名词。



3. 掌握字母I—R的发音、顺序及书写规范。



情感目标：提高对身边事物的感知力，激发求知欲望，培养学生对未知事物的探究兴趣。



本节课的教学重点是听音补全单词，掌握“请求单词拼写帮助”的句型:Spell it, please.以及“向他人确认物品英文名称”的句型A: What’s this/that in English? B: It’s a/an… 教学难点是记住8个单词的拼写和上述举行的熟练运用。



通过听、读、说等活动培养学生良好的听力能力和口头表达的能力；通过独学、结对学等方式，学会正确读写本

堂课新学表示物体的单词及目标句型。



录音机、电脑。

Teaching steps: Step 1. Lead-in

Play the video. Ask Ss to listen to an alphabet song. After listening, present the letters learned so far on the screen. Step 2. Review

( 1) Play the video again. Ask Ss to learn to sing the song after the video.

(2) Play another video to show how to write the letters Ii—Rr. Then ask Ss to write them. After the students finish their writing, choose and show the best works. Step 3 Review and present (1)

Present the words learned in Period 1. The teacher leads in reading them first. Then ask some Ss to read them. (2)

Present the old sentence patterns on the screen: A: What’s this / that in English?

B: It’s a /an …

Ss practice asking and answering in half. (3)

Present the new sentence patterns on the screen: A: Spell it, please.

Ss practice them one by one.

(4) Pairwork. Present the words in (1) and ask Ss to work in pair to ask and answer. Step 4. Listen and do (1)
