六年级学生已经有了一定的英语基础,能够在老师的引导下进行自主学习。同时,这个年龄段的孩子有意识记逐渐占据主导地位,教学中要注重通过词句的反复训练和感知来习得语言的综合运用能力。

能听、说、认读单词library,left,和end;能理解和掌握句型Is there a …
near here? How can I get there?及答句,并能灵活运用于日常交际。

Step1: Warming-up 1. Greeting T:Hello, boys and girls. Are you ready? Let’s chant together.
2.Chant. Left ,right. Left, right. March all day.
March all night.
Go down, go down.
On we go , round the town. 【设计意图:唱首欢快活泼的英语歌曲,不但能吸引学生的注意力,活跃课堂气氛,激发学生学习英语的兴趣,还能让学生感受到音律与英语语言相结合所产生的协调之美。】
Step2: Presentation 1.导入
T: Look , this is my plan. I have a busy morning. Oh, it’s 8:00.
Where am I going now? Ss: Park. T: Excuse me. Is there a park near here? S1: No, there isn’t.
T: No? Let’s draw a park. (画公园)
Look, this is a street. And there is a park. Group 1, Group 2,which group will get to the park first?
Let’s have a match. T: Excuse me. Is there a park near here? T: How can I get there? Ss: Go down this street .You can see it on the right. (教师用手势引导学生说出答案,强调,并领读。) 2. T: I’ve found the park. Where am I going now?
Ss: Library. T: Excuse me. Is there a library near here?
Today we will learn Lesson 6 Is there a library near here? (师生共同板书。) 【设计意图:教师设置情境,同时也为后面的拓展部分做了铺垫。同时,在练习朗读生词的时候,一边读,一边做动作可以同时调动眼、耳、口、手等多种器官参与感知,体验和记忆,从而给学生留下深刻的印象。】
Step3: Practice 1. Listen and read. T: Listen and try to answer the questions. a. Is there a library near here? b. How can I get there?
(引导学生说出答案,并练习。)
2. Group work a. Read by yourself. b.分角色练习。
【设计意图:课堂教学中,老师要安排好听力训练,在有限的时间内让学生有所收获,增加学生接触鲜活英语的机会。先提出问题,让学生带着问题去听录音,在回答提出的问题,非常锻炼学生的英语听力能力。】
Step4: Extension T: Oh , We’ve found the park and the library. You are so kind. Let’s see where am I going next? Ss: School and supermarket.(教师在地图上标注) T: Excuse me. Is there a school near here? T: Please ask and answer with your parterners. Two minutes later, we will have a show. 【设计意图:给出适当的语境,通过语言或图片等提示,让学生用自己在课堂上新学的词汇和句型自编对话,从而检查学生对所学句型的理解程度,促进学生语言运用能力的提高。】
Step5: Summary &homework T: Are there any trees near here?
T: How can I get there? T: You are so kind. Thank you so much. Helping someone is the origin of happiness. We should try our best to help others. 1. Listen and read. 2. Try to draw a map of your home and talk about it with your friends. 【设计意图:让学生多听,接触地道纯正的英语发音,同时让学生用所学的句型去和同伴交流,使学到的知识在实际生活中得以运用,这样就能使英语课堂形象化、趣味化和交际化,有助于调动学生的积极性,使学生产生兴趣。】
