Learn to get the information about the Palace Museum from the listening text.

教学策略

1. Integrated applications and autonomous cooperative learning. 2.Know the meaning of expressions by matching the pictures with the expressions. 3. Improve the listening skills. 4. Practise spoken English by speaking up.

Step 1 . Pre-listening（智慧课堂课前预习）

1.

Free talk. Ask the students some questions one by one and let them answer them quickly. Where is your hometown? Do you like your hometown? Why?

2. Ask: If you have a hot air balloon,where will you fly? Why?

Step 2 . Presentation. 1.

Lead -in

Say: If I have a hot air balloon, I will fly to Beijing. Why? Can you guess? (Show the pictures to the students.) 2.

Competition: Who knows more?

Show some pictures of the Palace Museum to them: There are a lot of palaces. Do you know them? Introduce the palaces to the students: Taihe Palace, Baohe Palace, Huangji Palace and Fengxian Palace.

4.

Ask students to look at Part A1: Now let’s visit the Palace Museum. First, please read the poster and tell me: What can the exchanges students see in the show? Encourage students to say: They can see works of art, famous paintings, the golden throne and many more.

Read the poster in Part A1 and circle the related information in Part A2.

Step 3 . While- listening （智慧课堂听力训练）

1.

Share two listening skills with students. 2.

Listen to the listening text twice and complete table in Part A2 on students’

computers, then check the answers. 3.

Show time, check the answer. 4.

Correct the mistakes.

Step 4 . Speak up （智慧课堂口语训练）

1.

Say:

Beijing is a good place to visit. Simon is inviting Neil to Beihai Park. Let’s listen to the tape and find when and where they will meet.

Listen to the tape again and fill in the table. 3.

Show time (pair work). Read the dialogue in the role on students’ computers,

Learn to make a plan for a day out.

Make similar conversations like Part B in pairs. Then act it out. Tips for traveling: Be a good traveler! 

Do not leave litter(垃圾) anywhere.

Step 6 . Consolidation （智慧课堂实时反馈）

Practice: Let the students do some exercises on their computers. 2.
