一、教学背景

新课程标准《标准（2011年版）》明确指出，义务教育阶段的英语课程具有工具性和人文性双重性质。在英语课程中，学生能够用英语读写，进行交际，这是其工具性的体现。因此，英语课堂上教师要充分调动学生参与课堂的积极性，让学生在课堂上能更多的用英语交流。提高学生的英语素养，帮助学生掌握良好学习方法和形成良好的学习习惯。人文性是语言课程的重要属性，它能促进学生良好的性格、品格、意志和合作精神等的形成。初中英语课堂，通过小组合作，团队学习，可以帮助学生形成合作意识。初一英语难易适当，第六单元是部儿童文学，内容有些荒诞，但能吸起学生学习的好奇心，让学生对英语更添一份兴趣。

二、教学目标

（1）知识目标

学习新单词，阅读故事片断，了解故事内容。能在阅读过程中关注叙事的时间顺序。

（2）能力目标

能掌握重点词汇，体会一般过去时的用法，学习动词与方位介词的搭配。

(3) 情感目标

拓展学生视野，了解不同的文学作品。能体会到英语学习的乐趣。

本课是阅读课，利用扫读，让学生找出文章大意。接着，利用找读，让学生填写文本信息。为了达到目标、突出重点、解决难点，结合本节课的实际特点，

将采用“游戏法”、“讨论法”、“小组合作法”等方法进行教学。
