II. Teaching contents 1. New words and phrase: ability, believe, raise, plant trees, help an old man, clean up the park,

give a seat to someone, on the bus, collect things for Project Hope, visit an old people’s home, need … most, send sth. to sb., collect some books for the children, raise sth. for sb., look out 2. New sentences: How cool!

Present students some pictures that surprises all the students, like the pictures about some popular persons on TV.

Ss: He is Yao Ming.He is able to play basketball.

Ss: She is Yang Liping.She is able to dance ,especially Peacock Dance.

Ss:She is Zhao Wei. She is able to act and play movies.

Ss:They are TFBs.They are able to sing.

T:Different people have different abilities!What about yours?What can you do?

Ss: I can/am able to read/swim/dance/play the violin/the piano/ski and so on.
