Unit 1 Where ’s the cat? Teaching aims: A. Knowledge aims: 1.Students can listen, speak, read the words: where, where’s, where is, in, bag. 2. Let students master the sentence: Where’s the cat?

It’s in the blue bag.

B. Ability aims: Students can use "where" special question word to ask and answer. C. Emotional aims: 1. Make students participate in classroom activities and communicate with others. 2. Let the students learn a right attitude towards life. Teaching key points and difficult points: Students can use "where, " special question words to ask and answer . Teaching aids: word cards, computer, screen, PPT. CD, E-pen Teaching methods: Task-based teaching method, Game teaching method, Listening Method, Situational teaching method etc. Teaching Steps Step 1 Warmer: 1.Sing the song and do the actions: Please stand up

2.Ask students: Do you like songs?We’ll learn a new song today. Play the song: What’s this? Students watch the video and listen first. Then learn to sing the song.

(设计意图: 营造活跃轻松的课前气氛,使学生带着积极的心态投入到学习中去,同时复习旧歌曲引入本单元第四部分新歌曲的学习,为新课的学习做好铺垫。)

Step 2 Lead-in T says :Let’s do a guessing game, look at the PPT and guess what it is in each PPT. You should use‘Is it a….?’Let students guess: dog, kite, panda, bird, cat. Then lead in the new word :bag, new sentence: Where’s the cat? It’s in the bag. Then play the CD, students watch and learn Part One, say the chant. (设计意图:猜图游戏复习旧知识,导入新单词和新句型,知识循序渐进,利于学生吸收。)

Step 3 New Teaching

1). Present a picture, ask: Where’s the cat?Is it in the green bag? Get students to answer: No, it isn’t. It’s in the red bag. Tell students that Daming and Simon are looking for a cat and a bird, Let’s learn our new text today.

(设计意图:引入本节课话题,为新课的学习做好准备。)

2). Watch the video, listen to the dialogue, try to find where the cat/bird is? (设计意图:初步感知课文,让学生带着问题学习能更好地锻炼他们的听力。)

3). Discuss the text with the students, get them to answer the 2 questions. (设计意图:训练学生对课文的理解能力及对课文重点的掌握,让学生充分理解课文。)

4). Ask Ss to listen to the E-pen and read the text one sentence by one sentence. Then have Ss read the text together.

(设计意图:培养学生的阅读能力及模仿能力。)

Step 5 Practice. 1). Ask Ss to role play the text in groups. (设计意图:巩固课文学习,培养学生的表演模仿能力和小组合作能力。)

2). Do Part 3 , listen and answer the questions. Get students to answer.

(设计意图:任务完成,巩固所学知识。) 3). Do a game. Teacher says students do. egg: The pen/pencil is in the book/desk/hat/bag. (设计意图:以游戏的形式巩固句型学习,学以致用。)

Step 7 Homework

1. Act the text with group members. 2.Draw some pictures with “in”, talk about it next class. (设计意图:作业布置,任务设计,学以致用,延伸学习空间。)
