Step1：Warming up 1.Greetings.

Teacher and students sing a song together.-- The London Eye. 2.Review

Show the PowerPoint to the students: There are some pictures of apple, banana, cheese, bottle, juice.

Then practise the sentence pattern：

How many/much...did you buy? I bought... 3.New words

Learn the new words: bottle, half, kilo through the sentence pattern “How much...did you buy? I bought ...bottles/kilos. 4.

Summary Distinguish the sentence pattern “How much”

from “how many”. 5.Pair work Ss make a dialogue in pairs. A: How many/much...did you buy?

B: I bought... Step2 Presentation 1.The teacher should play the CD-ROM

T: What did they buy? Ss:They bought juice, cheese and chocolate. 2.The teacher should replay the CD-ROM for the Ss and let them answer more questions. 3.Then let the Ss read the text after the CD-ROM and learn other new words: use, over there, a lot of 4.
