一、

教材分析

本单元是《新标准英语》四年级下册Module 6 Unit 2 Was it a big city then?需要一课时完成。

本模块主要教学内容是对过去的人或事物的特征和状态进行描述和问答，在二单元的拓展和巩固中通过照片进行今昔对比从而引出深圳城市变化的情景对话、歌曲和多个任务项目，这些话题在实际生活使用较广，与生活联系十分紧密。重点通过听，说，读，写等活动使学生掌握本单元内容，运用was和were 描述过去与现在变化，通过学习课文，进一步发展学生的语言运用能力，能运用所学语句介绍自己居住城市过去与现在的不同。

学情分析

四年级学生在五模块已经初步掌握了一些关于人物过去特征和现在特征的对比内容，有一定的英语水平，因此对于学生来说，学习本课难度并不大。本模块是“was，were”的综合运用模块，所以在基于课文的基础上，设计让学生介绍一个自己城市过去与现在的不同，会有一定的自信。在关注学生学习学情时，应对学困生多家关注，确保基础知识的全部掌握。

三、教学目标

1、语言知识

（1）全体学生能听、说、认、读本课单词：village （2）能听、说、读本课的课文内容。

（3）掌握本课问句“Was it a big city then?”及回答形式。

（4）感知一般疑问句的语音语调特征。

2、语言技能

（1）全体学生能听懂，能说出含有“was/were”来询问过去的行为或事物的句型及相应的回答。

（2）全体学生能运用

“was，were”对过去事物和人物的特征和状态进行简单的表达与交流。

（3）能够在游戏和歌曲中运用交际用语，并感知韵律，提高口语水平。

3、情感态度

能体会到学习英语的乐趣，敢于开口，并积极参与课堂学习活动，在小组活动中能积极与他人配合和合作；通过自己观察中国过去与现在的变化，体会国家的强大，从而呼吁学生热爱

祖国。

4、学习策略

学生采用“practicing and role playing”的学习策略，在学习中能集中注意力，对所学内容能主动归纳与复习，并能积极与他人合作，共同完成学习任务。教师采用TPR及任务教学法。

5、文化品格

⑴在学习中能初步注意到城市的变化，现在与过去的不同。通过比较城市过去与现在的不同，感受中国的变化，促进学生爱祖国、爱家乡的情感教育。

⑴能听懂，会说并运用“ Was it a big city then?”这类语句

⑵能运用

“was，were”谈论，询问过去事物和人物的特征和状态

2、难点

运用所学语句介绍一个自己喜欢的地方过去与现在的不同，正确使用动词时态。

六、教学过程

（一）复习导入Revision and lead in（5分钟）

1.Greeting: t：Good morning boys and girls. How are you ？

2.Sing a song 《London bridge is falling down》

:Ok, guys are you ready for a beautiful song? (Ss) All right! Let’s sing and act it out! Well done, you are all good dancers.(PPT2) 【设计意图】通过问候，歌曲调动学生的积极性，为接下来的学习营造一个轻松的氛围，激发学生学习兴趣。

3.Ok We have a new friend today. Who? (Ss)Yes. He’s Bobo and he’s a robot. He wants to play a guessing game with you, Ok? Let’s listen! （PPT3）

“Were you..?”，激活学生已有知识，为活动二的学习搭建支架。

2.team race: during learning , We have two big groups. You are “blue plane“and you are “pink plane”. Now we are at the airport. If you get the top of the sky you will watch a beautiful China. （PPT9）

1.Talk about the first picture of the text

Let’s watch. 【设计意图】谈论课文图片，帮助学生了解课文背景，让学生带着问题整体感知课文，给学生明确了观看动画的目的，熟悉语言学习的情境。

So If we want to talk about the changes, Now we need to say “It is…”. And then we need to use “It was…” Are you clear? Ok! Let’s do it!

【设计意图】训练学生用批判性思维思考问题，也培养了学生将来能够站在世界的舞台让人们熟知中国得情感态度。

Show time (ppt26-27) 1. Let’s get back to our city-Dalian. It was a small village than but now It is a very big city. The river was very dirty in the old days and It is very clean now. Here’s the word bank. You can talk one aspect of the changes in Dalian in your group. Are you clear? Let’s go.(discuss) Who wants to tell us the changes with the poster?(Ss report) 2.
