Ⅰ.Teaching aim 1.

Knowledge aim: Enable students to understand the text and talk about their friends with their partner. Realize that a friend always have not to be a person, it can also be other things.

Ability aim: Enable the students to practice reading comprehensive skills and the ability of guessing word meaning from the context. 3.

Emotional aim: Enable the students to realize the importance of friend in our life. Ⅱ. Teaching main points and difficult points 1.

Main points: Understand the main idea of the text and realize that a friend always have not to be a person, it can also be other things. Difficult points: Improve students reading ability. Ⅲ. Teaching method

Discussion, prediction and communicative teaching method. Ⅳ. Teaching process Step 1: Warming up

Ask students two questions about friend then lead into the topic of this class.

Step 2: Pre-reading Look at some pictures and the title, then guess what will be introduced in the text. Step 3: Fast-reading Skim the text and find who was Anne’s best friend. Then find the three important elements of this reading: when, where, who.

Step 4: While-reading Read the text carefully and choose the best answers. Step 5: Post-reading

Discuss what quality does a friend have?

要上好一堂课，就必须明确教学目标，透彻分析教材，合理安排教学过程，根据需要灵活处理教材。此外，还要多多训练学生的阅读技能，学会运用有效的阅读方法解决问题。通过小组讨论让学生明白作为一位朋友应该具备什么品质，在生活中不仅仅是人类可以作为我们的朋友，其他东西也可以。最后让学生写一篇小作文来介绍自己的好朋友从而加强学生对英语的应用。
