Hello,boys and girls!How are you?I am fine,too!Today,we are going to learn “lesson 8”,but first,let,s listen to two songs,ok?Ok,please listen carefully and enjoy yourselves,let , s go! 二、Warm up Listen to the songs “Where are we going,Dad?” And “Animals Song”. 三、Lead in Ok,after the songs,can you tell me where we are going today?Yes,

we are going to a wild place like jungle to meet some wild animals！We know,they may be dangerous.So be careful and follow right behind your “father”,ok?Are you ready?Let,s get to start! 四、Presentation and Practise 1.

Ask the students to look at the picture of tiger on screen.What is this?Students say its name in Chinese.Then point to the word tiger and say it aloud.Ask the students to repeat after you and pay attention to the pronunciation of i. 2.

Ask students to read the chant “tiger tiger 是老虎，山中称王属第一” with teacher.In the meantime,clap their hands and say “啊呜”

together in the end. 3.

Write the word “tiger” three times and spell it with their hands in pairs. 4.

Ask what they know about tigers.Take some time to talk about protecting the tiger. 5.

Repeat the process for wolf,bear and snake.

(Chant “wolf wolf 狼狼狼，蒙古人民敬畏它”，模仿狼月下长嚎)

(Chant “bear bear 大狗熊，打倒光头强，护的丛林壮”，双手做出beat的动作)

(Chant “snake snake 蛇蛇蛇，身体长长穿行者”，模仿叫声“嘶嘶嘶”) 6.

Ask the students to listen to the song Big and Small twice and

learn to sing after it.At the same time,ask the students to stand up and practise making gestures to show big and small.When the students can do the actions,tell them when hearing the words “big”,to do their big gestures,and when hearing the words”small”,to do their small gestures. 7.

Ask the students to look at the pictures of long snake and short snake.Then say the words below the graphics:long.It,s long.short.It,s short.Make gestures to show the meaning for long and short.Take the pieces of string and demonstrate long and short.Ask volunteers to come forward and select long pieces of string.Others select short pieces.The students with the long pieces say It,s long.Those with the short pieces say It,s short.

Play the audiotape for part 3 and follow along.Play the audiotape again.Then ask the students to read the text in pairs. 五、Consolidation Play a guessing game:Ask some students to hold up a variety of pictures about bear,elephant,rabbit,monkey and snake.(Only he/she knows what it is.)Then describe the picture with some sentences like “It,s long/short/big/small.Its nose is long/short.Its ears are long/short.”

Some other students hold up the relative flash card and say “It is a/an ...”

六、Homework

1.

Read and write the new words three times; 2.

Practise the dialogue in part 3 in pairs. Class closing Remind the students of their hard work and effort today.Say “goodbye”

to them.
