一、教学目标

1.能听懂、会说新单词than ，clay ，biggest， smallest， tallest ，shortest，

longest 2.理解: This bird is bigger/smaller than the first one. 3.能观察比较事物的大小、高矮、长短。

4能运用形容词构成比较级和最高级的基本规则。

二、重点难点

1、听懂并会说:Tom’s hair is shorter than Mike’s,

2、比较级和最高级的用法。

课前准备 tapes

Step 1 . Warming Up 1、Greetings. 2、Review：

（1）.课件依次闪现几只不同颜色的鸟，T:Which bird is blue/red/yellow/white?复习序数词和颜色类单词。

（2）.复习词汇：big small tall short long 3、由简单的句子引入比较级

Step 2. Presentation and Drills 11. Looking at the cards ,show two birds: T:Look,which bird is bigger,the first one or the second one? Ss:The second bird is bigger.(帮助学生回答) 板书并带读新单词bigger 2. 用同样的方法教学新单词than,clay,biggest,smallest, tallest,shortest,longest 3. 操练句型“ ...is + 比较级+than...”

S1: Bird is bigger than ant. S2:Dog is bigger than bird.
