教学目标

1.知识目标：

能够听懂、会说课文中出现的帮助老人、关爱老人的单词和短语（make tea,make cakes,clean their houses,make them happy,help old peaple on the road,weak,slow)。

2.能力目标：

能运用此句型在日常生活中进行交流。如：

A:What can I do? B:I can make tea or coffee for them. 3.情感目标：

能够体会到做老人的孤独和无助，能从言行上关爱老人，倡导尊敬老人、关爱老人的好风气。

教学重、难点

1.重点：能听懂、会说、会读、会写新单词和短语an old woman，help the old people on the road，make tea，make cakes，clean their homes，make them happy，weak，slow；能用“What can I do？”和“I can…”提供帮助

2.难点：能正确理解“We can help them to clean their homes.”和“I can ask mum to make cakes for them.”两个句子。

用于复习词组的图片、用于教授新词组的图片、教学挂图、教学磁带等

四、教学过程

Step 1 Warm—up 1.

Let’s chant Dog,dog,What can you do? I can run after you. Panda,Panda,what can you do? I can eat so much bamboo. Mouse,Mouse,what can you do? I can hide in the shoe. Mike,Mike,what can you do? I can draw animals in the zoo! 教师用chant激发学生学习兴趣，并且对于“I can …”句型熟悉，朗朗上口。

Step 2 Presentation

New words and new sentences （1）教师出示一张老奶奶的图片，要学生猜测其年龄，引出词汇an old woman.板书词组an old woman，学生跟读，教师提醒an和old的连读。引导学生说出an old man，同时出示老奶奶和老爷爷的图片，引出词汇the old people。板书the old people （2）出示B部分词组图片：make cakes; help old people on the road; clean their homes;make them happy; make tea （3）I can read：an old woman

can…”说说能为老人们提供什么样的帮助。教师出示关于能为老人做的事的词组，并且带读，激发学生关爱老人的风气，并且让学生知道，我们能为老人们做什么。

Step 3 Practice 1．Let’s chant 教师将所学单词组成chant，分组练习

2. 单词、句型操练。

Let’s play a game

(1) Act and guess:教师准备卡片，上面写上能为老人做的事情，请一位学生抽出一张卡片，把卡片上的动作表演出来，其他学生说出短语(分两组）。

(2) Game：句子接龙，用“I can...”接一个动词造句，后面一个造句的学生要先把前面的学生造的句子按顺序说一遍，然后再造新句子。
