Teaching Procedures Greetings (1 min) Step I Revision(3 mins) The students are asked to review last period using the slide on the screen, where some key words will be shown. Step II Discovering useful words and expressions (8 mins)

1.Check the answers in Exercise 1&2. The students are asked to finish exercise 1&2 at home after last period.So checking the answers will be the first thing to do. 2.Explain the difficulties the students met. In this part, easier language is expected. Because finishing the exercises is difficult for them, they don’t need another difficult language. Step III Discovering useful structures(25 mins)

1.Review tenses the students have learned. Students are asked to review tenses together, especially the present tenses. It will be better to start from something they are familiar to. 2.Then pick out Simple Present Tense and Simple Past Tense to change them into passive voice. Use “do” as an example: do(Simple Present Tense)+am/is/are ------> am/is/are done(passive voice) did(Simple Past Tense)+was/were ------> was/were done(passive voice) 3.Conclude Present Progressive Passive Voice. The basic pattern of passive voice is “be done”

am/is/are doing+ am/is/are done ------> am/is/are doing done

4.Knowing the pattern of Present Progressive Passive Voice, the students are asked to find out the sentences which include the Present Progressive Passive Voice in the passage. 5. Finish exercise 2 on page 29 and 10 students are asked to speak out their answers in a relay. 6.Check if there is any problem, if not, students are asked to discuss using the questions in exercise 3 in a group of four. Two or three groups will be asked to present their conversation to the whole class. Step IV Homework(3 mins)
