“My Hobby is Swimming!”教学设计及反思

Teaching Objectives Analysis: 1.
Language Objectives: 1)
To consolidate the usage of the words and expressions about different kinds of hobbies. 2)
To consolidate the usage of the sentence structures and can write a short paragraph about their hobbies. a)

I love v.ing for …reasons. c)

To know how to talk about their hobbies and reasons with others . 2.
Course Objectives: To have ability to promote yourselves and ability of concluding and combing knowledge. 3.
Emotion Objectives: Life is beautiful with hobbies.
Teaching Difficulty: how to explain why they love their hobbies and make it reasonable. Teaching Aids: PPT, music, sound, some pictures, word cards and some dressing of a host like a suit, a pair of glasses. Teaching Process:
Step 1. Warm up and lead -in . 1.
Warm up: All the students sing the song "what do you like to do?”
together while doing the actions when meet the verbs such as“dance, swim, climb a tree….”

Lead –in: T: How was your holiday? Where did you go and what did you do? Step 2. Show the task 1.
T: I’ve got big news on holiday. A big person wants to talk to you .Do you want to know who is it? Ss : Yes. T: Let’s listen carefully. ( the audio is from Mr. White who is the host of a program called Radio Beijing. He invite our students to go to Beijing for an interview which will talk about themselves and their hobbies. The qualified students will have an opportunity to join the summer camp in London.) Teacher plays the ppt pictures while the audio is playing which in order to help students to understand the audio. 2.Practise basic information questions T: Do you want to join the summer camp in London? Ss: Yes T:So we need to do a good job on the interview right? Ss:Yes. T: Here Mr. Whrite give us some questions of the interview. Let’s read it together ok?
Ss: What’s your name? Where are you from? Do you have any hobbies? What’s your hobby? First, teacher will be the host to interview one student these questions
as an example to all students. (All the students say “3,2,1 action!”together )Then let them do pair work to practice. 3.Write their own hobbies and have a competition. (1)Let students write down their hobbies on a small piece of paper using “My hobby is V.ing.”. Then, exchange their papers with their deskmates and hide the paper quickly after they remember the hobbies on the paper. (2)Give each group 1minite , let them to say “
…’s hobby is …”one by one and to see which group can say more hobbies. Reminding them should speak loudly, clearly and fast.
Step 3. Guess some famous people’s hobby and teacher’s hobby and tell them why “I”love doing it. 1.
PPT show a small part picture of TF Boys.( a popular teenager singer team) ????????????????????????
T:“Can you guess what’s their hobby?”
SS:“ Their hobby is singing.”
Then ,show a hand of a man first, let students guess his hobby. Then show them the complete picture. ????????????
T: What’s Yao Ming’s hobby? SS: His hobby is playing basketball. At last, show a “dancing” hand of another man. Most students think it’s a girl, others think it’s a boy . Actually it’s Lang Lang.

T: What’s Lang Lang’s hobby? Ss: Lang Lang’s hobby is playing piano. 2.
T:Can you guess what’s Miss Wang’s hobby? S:Is your hobby teaching English? / shopping / dancing…. T: Sorry. No. let me give you some clue. ( play a zither sound) S: Miss Wang’s hobby is playing Guzheng.

T:Yes. We call it Chinese zither. Do you believe I can play zither? ( Teacher does some actions of playing zither.)Do you know why I love it ? Then , Ppt shows the reasons .
T: Can we change ‘fun’into other words? Ss: Interesting/cool/ exciting…. 3.
Practise to explain why they like their hobby. PPT show the questions for them:
Let students do pair work first and then show their conversations in the way of interviewing. Step 4 : Show the complete interview and finish the whole task. 1.
Show students all interview questions.

After students prepare for some time , teacher will be the host and choose 2 students to be the interviewees.( host is supposed to dress up with suit, glasses, microphone …) First , there will be an opening music of the program“Radio Beijing”, after students say 3,2,1 action, the interview will formally begin.

Choose a volunteer to be the host and let he / she choose 2 interviewees and show us the whole process of interview. Step 5: Task result and proverb ending. T: Today, all of you did an excellent job! I believe all of you can go to Radio Beijing for an interview. Good luck! At last, I would like to say “ Life is beautiful with hobbies!”(all students read it together)
课后反思:
优点:
1. 此次课程的设计专门针对任务型教学中的运用型任务。因此教学过程即是完整的任务完成过程。由布置任务到一步步阶段性地完成任务,环环相扣,紧凑自然,任务性强,充分调动了学生完成任务的积极性。
2.
给学生做了扎实的语言铺垫和练习,因此学生在完成任务的过程中语言输出非常丰富。
3.
通过西装、眼镜、话筒及节目背景等道具的使用和烘托,任务的真实性很强。
有待改善:
1.任务须有完整性。因此最后的采访环节呈现后应该有结果,哪些孩子能去参加
夏令营哪些不能应该有所体现。教师可以作为评判者也可以让全体同学作为评判者。
2.任务布置的录音由于是英音原声且速度较快,而学生们平时接触美音较多,因此播放一遍之后学生们只听懂了一部分,需要教师再解释才能完全明白。应考虑将录音播放两遍或者更换录音原声,将任务布置简单化,不给学生造成心理负担。
3.
游戏竞争环节,由于有时间限制,学生们都争取在一分钟内说出更多的句子,因此忽略了语言质量,有些句子存在发音不清晰和语法错误的问题。应在游戏规则中强调重视句子的正确率,存在错误的句子一律不算数。
