Revise the words Step 2: warming up Ss talk about what they know about Australia. and pre-reading Tick the places they know and number them on the map of Australia. Discuss what they know about these places. Glance quickly at the five texts below and then answer the questions on P22. Step 3: reading 

Skimming Ss skim the passage with the question: What each reading passage about? Careful reading: Answer questions on P24. Check the answers and explain difficulties if any. Post reading: Read again and write down 5 facts that you don’t know before reading

Ss share their lists and report them to the class. Step 4:discussion 
