Look at the pictures in “Let’s check”, have the Ss talk about the pictures with their deskmates, then listen and number. 2.

Listen again, and then cross out the words they didn’t hear. gym

badminton 3. Teacher tells the students, “Changes are all around us, look at the pictures on page 40, work in groups, talk about the changes below.”

4. Choose some groups to show. 5. Watch the video and answer questions.

III. Drill 1. Guessing the meanings of the new words: cavemen, human, bright future. 2. Ask the Ss to give the story a title.

3. Read after the CD. Pay attention to the pronunciation and intonation.

4. Read again, and then finish the table below. After finishing the table, choose some students to share their answers with us.

5. Work in groups, try to read the story by themselves. 6. Invite some groups to come to the front and try to perform. IV. Practice 1. Enjoy the song “Changes in me.”

Listen to the song first and then the teacher will pay attention to their pronunciation. Then let them sing the song in chorus. 2. Sing the song by different teams. 3. Encourage the Ss to change some words, and follow the melody to create a new song. V． Consolidation 1.
