Step 2 Presentation 1. T: Look! Who’s this?

Ss: This is Kate.

T: Does she look very well?

Ss: No!

T: Let’s ask her, OK?

Ss: How are you, Kate?

Kate: I’m ill today. I have a headache. 2. Learn the phrases: have a headache; have a bad cold 3. T: So, Kate is ill today. She has a headache. Does she feel well today?

Ss: No! She doesn’t feel well today.

T: And she can’t go to school. I worry about Kate very much. Do you worry about her?

Ss: I worry about her. …

T: So, what can we do? Let’s call her, OK? 4. The telephone is ringing.

T: When I talk in telephone, how can I introduce myself?

“I’m Miss Yang” or “This is Miss Yang”?

Ss: This is Miss Yang.

T: I can also say “This is Miss Yang speaking.”

May I speak to Kate?

Kate: This is Kate. I’m ill today. I have a headache. I
