3上Unit 3 My friends教案
Knowledge aims: By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to read, recognize and use the words: goodbye, she’s, he’s and friend. The sentences: Goodbye, …. She’s/He’s …. She’s/He’s my friend. Ability aims:To train Ss’abilities of reading skills to find out when and why to say goodbye To train Ss’ abilities of using she’s and he’s to introduce their friends.
To arouse their interest in speaking.
Moral aims: To let Ss know we should be willing to make friends and share our friends.
Key points of this lesson: Ss will be able to introduce their friends with “She’s/He’s She’s/He’s my… .”
Difficult points: Ss will be able to pronounce she’s/he’s correctly, and know she’s=she is, he’s=he is
Teaching procedures
Step 1: Greeting and warm-up
After greeting with Ss, I will begin the lesson by showing a flash about
friends.
Purpose: Such a kind of opening can bring me closer to the Ss and help set
up atmosphere for language learning. And in the song, there’s a word friends in it, it’s not difficult for them to understand. And it’s easy for me to show the title.
Step 2: Revision
I’ll show this pic. Ss will play the game like this to review the sentence structure in Unit 2. Purpose: This is pic of Unit2, Ss like playing this game. Though it has nothing to do with what we’re going to learn. We should let them review what they have learnt in oral or games. For this sentences, it’s hard for me just ask them Are you …? Because we all know eac h other yet. During the game, Ss even say Hello in another voice. This game not only enable Ss to practice the sentence structure but also makes them feel relaxing.
Step 3: Presentation
Activity one: Since Ss have already know the title, so it’s time for t hem to learn story time. I show these pics here. The main persons here are Mike and Yang Ling. I want Ss to know in this pic they say morning to each other, so it’s in the morning. Then I show these pics. Here I give a clock and from what they’re saying we know it’s in the afternoon. And from these pics we can know sth about their day in school.
Purpose: Here I show the pics in Unit1 and Unit2 in order to let them know Mike and Yang Ling’s daily life in the morning and afternoon to continue the story time. As these pics, we know why they say goodbye not good morning or else in Unit3.
Activity two: I’ll show this pics here. I put a clock here to let them know it’s in the afternoon,too. But it’s time to go home. So they say goodbye to each other.
Then I’ll show this pic. Here I circle Mike and Yang Ling’s parents in red to let Ss know they’re going home with their parents and they’re waving their hands to say goodbye. And also they’re friends. Show the title again. In order to let them know exactly about friend. Then show the pics they have seen just now to get a general idea.
Purpose: From the pics and the time I given. Ss will know the meaning of goodbye naturally. Here I circle their parents to let them know it’s the right time to go home. And this is the fir st time to see their parents, so they will introduce their friends to their parents next pics. I give four pics here
to let Ss know exactly the meaning of friend instead of giving Chinese. Especially when I show the pics of their classmates they feel excited.
Activity three: Show this pic, let them know just now we talked about pic1 and 2, and they’re all at school. But in pic3 and 4, they’re on their way home. Let Ss recognize who’s the girl and boy. At this time Ss will answer with “She’s Yang Ling. He’s Mike.” But they won’t say “She’s my friend. He’s my friend.”which are the sentences in pic 3 and 4. Because they’re no Ss’ own real friends. So this time i put on Yang Ling and Mike’s masks on my head, point and say “She’s Yang Ling. She’s my friend. He’s Mike. He’s my friend.” Then teach she’s and he’s by phonics. Also Ss will put on the masks and try to say. In order to let Ss know only girls can be used as she’s, boys can be used as he’s. I go to the Ss and point at them to distinguish with them with my masks on head.
Purpose: In this link, I show all the 4pics of story time to let them know what is the story time about and deal with the key points and difficult points. By circling the parents Ss may know they’re going home with their parents. And they w ill say goodbye to each other. By circling the back of Yang Ling and Mike and wearing the masks of them. Ss will have a will to introduce the others. Here I go to the Ss and hug them in order to let them distinguish he’s and she’s in real situation.
Activity four: I show this pic to let Ss choose girls or women can be used as she. Boys and men can be used as he. In order to let Ss know he’s and she’s better.
Purpose: Just now they talked about she’s and he’s, but for this step I show she and he. From the pi c it’s not hard for them to choose. So a kind of exercise can make it easy for Ss to remember and pronounce the two words.
Activity five: Here I show the video, let Ss watch and repeat if they can. Then let Ss read by themselves on their own book. After re ading I order Ss to find the words’ English meaning in their book.
Then say a chant like this: Who, who, who’s she? She, she, she’s my friend. Who, who, who’s he? He, he, he’s my friend, too.
Purpose: For this activity, Ss enjoy the video of story time. In the activities above they know she’s and he’s. So I order them to find them in their own book to see if they know it exactly. The chant here is to consolidate the reading of he/he’s and she/she’s.
Step 4 Practice
I show this pic to let Ss imitate. Then I show this pic to let them complete the story.At last I’ll show the flash without any voice to let Ss dub.
Purpose: As Ss have watched the video, and they know the story time in general. But some of them may have problems with the stress, stop, rising and falling. And as they have read it for several times, so Task-based teaching method is used here to develop Ss’ ability to communicate. Step 5: Consolidation
I’ll show this pic to let them to use the context and also here I give them more words which they ha ve learnt in their foreigner teacher’s class.
Purpose: In our school, Ss have foreigner teacher from grade 3. He has the lesson up to our English book, so it’s very necessary to use them in our class.
Step 6 Homework 1. Watch the cartoon and imitate from “17zuoye”.
2. Introduce your own friend to others with the expanding words.
Purpose: Revision is so important that Ss should speak English as much as they can.
The last part is Blackboard designs. Here I present the main sentences in the lin es. Because they’re practicing their writing and we have a competition in November.
