5.Listen and answer:

1).T: Does Liu Tao like the meat?

Ss: Yes, he does.

2).T: How’s the soup?

Ss: It’s nice.

Step 4 Post-reading

1. Read after the tape sentence by sentence.

2. Let’s read: Work in group of four, choose a way you like to read. You can read in roles, read after one and read together.

3. Let’s act (Role-play).

4. Let’s be a cook: Work in group of four, choose different food to cook a yummy dinner, and the following sentences can help you:

There is/are…in the fridge.

We’re cooking…

We have… for dinner.

It’s yummy.

5. Summary: Today we’ve learned Unit 6 In the kitchen. Liu Tao comes home from a football game. His parents are cooking dinner in the kitchen. Mrs Liu is washing some vegetables and Mr Liu is cooking meat with potatoes. Liu Tao eats meat and vegetables for dinner because diverse diet will make us healthier.

Step 5 Homework

1. Read the story and try to retell it.

2. Make the dinner by yourself and try to make an English name for your dish.
