Three steps of cloze test Learning aims: 1.To have a better understanding of the major skills in doing cloze test. 2.To improve the ability to solve the problems of cloze test by practicing. 3.To take part in the practice actively, build up our confidence on dealing with cloze test and cherish our peaceful life. Teaching important point: To master the skills of cloze test. Teaching Procedures: Before the class, the subject representative lead in reading the words aloud. Step 1 Lead-in The teacher asks if students have problems when they deal with cloze test and show them to the whole class. Then the teacher shows some pictures about how to solve them.

Step 2 The teacher explains what the three steps are. Step 3 Group work Work in groups,

ask students to have a discussion about the cloze test.

Step 4 Presentation Then each group sends a person to write their answers on the blackboard and explain them. They also need to write the Chinese meaning of the difficult options.

Step 5 Evaluate their behavior At the same time, the teacher should evaluate their behavior and present which skill the question uses. Step 6 Have a test Have a cloze test in the class. Then show them the answers. Homework:

1.Make a summary of the key words in the two passage. 2.Try to remember the expressions and phrases learnt today.
