教学内容介绍：

本单元的中心话题是“人的情绪”。有人认为喜、怒、哀、乐、悲、恐等是人们的基本情绪。生存离不开环境，有客观环境就有刺激，刺激会导致人的情绪变化。而人们在日常生活中会随时遇到各类突发的事情，人们在收到这些刺激后会做出怎样的反应？是喜是悲?是愤怒还是保持冷静？本单元的学习旨在让学生学会正确对待和处理突发事件，调控好自己的情绪。

学习任务分析：

本单元的中心是围绕人的情绪展开。该篇文章通过阐述抑制愤怒的七个步骤，让学生学会正确对待和处理突发事件，调控好自己的情绪。

本堂课的教学内容为“Keep Cool Even When You’re Hot—the Seven Steps for Managing Anger”是在学生掌握了该单元的词汇下展开的这篇文章是整个单元的重点。学生可以根据关键词句来学习本篇文章。从文章的整体考虑，主要是从以下步骤：Warming up, Pre-reading, Fast reading和Post reading展开课堂教学。

本课是针对高一（6）班的学生，该班大部分学生的英语基础薄弱。但是该班部分学生上课气氛活跃，能积极配合教师的指令，表现出较高的学习积极性。作为刚进入高中的学生，他们还没有养成自主学习的意识，阅读技巧和口语表达能力都有待提高。

教学目标
