教学背景分析：

本单元的中心话题是“伟人的品格，几位伟人的生平”。而本次课主要涉及热身，读前，阅读和理解四个板块。主要内容是围绕当代英雄纳尔逊．曼德拉展开。而这四个板块中以阅读为主，其他的三个板块都是为其而铺垫，或加深理解而设置的。“热身”部分主要体现本单元的主题伟人的品格。“读前”部分让学生了解当代几位伟人的简短信息。“阅读”部分作为板块的主体，是借穷苦的黑人工人伊莱亚斯的口吻，叙述发生在他身边的纳尔逊．曼德拉的故事。“理解”部分通过练习来加深学生对课文的理解。

教学目标：

运用不同的阅读技能来提升学生的阅读能力。

通过课文学习，了解曼德拉，并学习曼德拉宝贵的品质。

引导学生分析课文，进行理解。

向伟人学习优秀的品质。

教学评价

学生通过学习，能用相关形容词描述伟人的品质，了解名人不等同于伟人。能多层次，多技能地进行阅读，掌握文中的相关信息。

教学过程

Step Ⅰ Warming up & Pre-reading 1.

Guessing game Show two pictures, each picture gives several pieces of information about the person. Ask the students to guess who it is.

Discussion What is the difference between famous people and great people? 3.

Speaking

Are these famous people also great people?

For example: I think Sun Yat-sen is also a great people because he devoted all his life to the foundation(建立）of the first Republic in China. (Ask students discuss with their partner, two minutes later. Share their ideas with the whole class.)

Conclusion Most great people are also famous people, but famous people may not be great people.
