Teaching procedures 教学过程
Step 1 Greeting
sing a song “Where is the bird”
T: Hello boys and girls,look!A bird.(动画展示鸟飞到不同的位置)
Q:Where is the bird? It’s in the tree.
Where are her friends? They’re in the tree.
【设计意图】通过唱一唱,学生能够很快的融入到学校氛围中去。
Step 2 presentation
T: The little bird and all her friends,they are in the tree.
Where are my friends,Su Hai and Su Yang? They are at their home, They love their new home. Do you want open the doors and see what they have inside their house?
Q1: What’s this? (打开第一扇门)
S: kitchen
Now let’s listen and repeat
T: Can you make phrases with kitchen?
S: in the kitchen
T: Can you say where is the dog?
S:It’s in the kitchen.
Q2 : What’s this? (打开第二扇门)
S:bedroom
T : Can you make phrases with bedroom?
S : my bedroom/ two bedrooms/ in the bedroom
Q3: What’s this? (打开第三扇门)
S:Living room.
T: What do you see in the living room?
S: sofa
【设计意图】PPT中借助推门识词的形式让学生了解新授单词,并通过跟读训练加深印象。
Step 3 Practise
T: Here we have four pictures,do you remember their names?
(展示新授单词图片,快速抢答说出对应的英文表达方式)
Step 4 Games
T: Do you want to play a game in order too remember these four new words better?
S: Yes.
T : Let’s count from 5 to 1 and start.
Q: Can you guess which picture we have behind the book?
S: sofa
Q: what about the second?
S: kitchen
The third one is living room, The last one is bedroom.
Then play one more.

Step 5 Consolidation
T: As we know there are four rooms in SuHai and SuYang’s home,Let’s see what they have inside.I think it will be interesting for you.

SuYang and SuHai are looking for something.Can you help them?
S:Su Hai is looking for skirts.
Su Yang is looking for a cap.
Su Yang is looking for a bag.
Read and Match
T:Where is SuYang’s bag?
S: It’s in the bedroom.
T:Where are SuHai’s skirts?
S: They are in the living room.
T:Where’s SuYang’s bag?
S:It’s in the kitchen.
Today we should learn two sentences:
when we have just one thing we use “Where is...?”
When we have more than one thing we use “Where are...?’Work in pairs
Where are my apples? They are in the box.
Where are my animals? They are on the farm.
Where is my bag? It’s on the chair.
Where are my skirts? They are on the bed.
Read after the tape
Let’s return back to the story of Suyang and SuHai’s house anr try to read after the tape. Happy reading
