Unit 7 what can I do? 第一课时
六年级
一、教学目标
1.词汇:听懂、会说词组an old man,help the old people on the road, make tea,make cakes,clean their homes,make them happy等;谈论关爱老人的话题
2.句型:能在语篇中灵活运用新句型What can I do? I can….. 谈论自己可以为老人做什么
3.能理解chant,体会老人需要社会关爱
二、教学重、难点
1.重点:能掌握、运用动词词组与句型;能在情境中运用句型“I can…”表达能提供的帮助;
2.难点:能运用所学词组与句型构建语篇

单词卡片,PPT等
四、教学过程
Step 1 Warm—up
1. Greetings
2. Quick response
教师用课件或图片展示家务活,询问学生是否在家做力所能及的家务,快速说出词组。
Step 2 Presentation
1.New words and new sentences
(1)教师出示一张自己的图片,要学生猜测我在家能干什么,引出句型What can I do板书
(2)继续出示一张图片,引导学生说出an old man,同时出示老奶奶和老爷爷的图片,引出词汇the old people。板书the old people
2.学习课文Part A
(1)T:Are the old people strong? The old people are not strong。They are weak。板书weak,领读句子“They are weak”
(2)T: Let’s help the old people. Listen and say.
①Listen carefully, how many things can the children do for the old people?
②Listen and check, 听第二遍,画出5种孩子们能提供的帮助,检查自己所听到的是否正确。
3.学习B部分词汇,教师呈现课文中的B 部分图片
①出示一张学生扶老人过马路的图片,带领大家读短语help the old people on the road(并且找两个学生来做动作)
②出示一张沏茶的图片,带领大家读短语make tea.注意ea的发音【i】用红色字体标出来
③出示一张做蛋糕的图片,带领学生读make cakes.
④出示一张打扫房间的图片,并且做扫地的动作,带领学生读clean their houses.
⑤出示一张学生在唱歌的图片,带领学生读make them happy Step 3 Practice
老师请两人一小组讨论我能为老人做什么?运用“What can I do?”和“I can…”句
例如:A:What can I do?
B: I can........
Step4 Let’s chant
T:Look at this picture. What can you see?
Ss: An old man and a girl.
T: What is the old man doing?
Ss: He is sitting.
T: Yes, he is sitting alone. Every day, he sits there alone.(呈现第一句话,指导学生有感情地朗读)
T:Are there any people with him?
S: No.
T: No one cares. No one comes near. His heart is cold, like a stone.(呈现第二、三句,指导学生有感情的读)
T:Here comes a little girl. She waves her hand to the old man and says”Hello”. How does the old man feel?
S: He feels happy.
T: Yes. He will have some happy tears when you simply say “Hello”(呈现最后一句,指导学生有感情的朗读)
2.让学生们有感情地朗读chant.
Step 5 作业布置
写一写,想想你能为老人做些什么,然后写下来,越多越好。
